Most here will agree the Blackbird wins due to the big date and faceted links bracelet. But I really like the Chronomat as well.

The MOP dial Chronomat will look larger on your wrist than the BB due to the light dial.

In short, I can offer no real advice at all. Nor do I think you can go wrong either way.

Its all about taste and I might be in the minority... but i think the Evo looks a little dated now. I love the BB.

I've owned both, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!

If you don't mind spending the extra bit, BLACKBIRD! :lingsrock:

Tough decision indeed because both are absolutely gorgeous and stunning timepieces. Although the big date is attractive on the BB, I personally prefer the Chronomat for a couple of reasons. First, I believe the caliber 13 (V7750) to be a bit more rugged than the caliber 44 (2892-A2). In my experience, the 7750 has handled the lumps and bumps better than the 2892. Next, the 6,9,12 subdial positions on the Chronomat seem to aesthetically "balance" the chrono pushers and crown and are therefore more attractive (to me) than the "tri-compax" 3,6,9 configuration on the BB. I am likely in the minority in that perception but that's my .02 worth. I do indeed like the fact that Breitling introduced the polished SS Blackbird last year and that would be my preference over the brushed BB if I needed to make the choice. BTW, you may be unaware that the case and interhorn geometry of the Chronomat and the Blackbird are identical, meaning that the respective Pilot bracelets are interchangeable. The faceted link segment Blackbird Pilot bracelet is only a hundred bucks more than the smooth link segment Chronomat Pilot bracelet and your AD would be happy to order the faceted bracelet for your Chronomat should you prefer that "look". The faceted bracelet could add a certain panache' to an MOP Chronomat or it may not be you cup of tea at all. I will tell you that Breitling MOP dials are absolutely first class and IMO much more attractive than the standard black dial on a watch including Breitling's. Bottom line, the BB may be less common than a Chronomat Evolution but an MOP dial elevates the latter to a quite unique status in its own right. Just my humble opinion... :)
Best,
Ron

thanks for the comments...
even when i tried the mop at the store i never saw the real mop color.i saw some pictures on the net when its looks amazing!some said that no mop dial is the same because the pearl color changed from watch to watch but i believe that the effect shoud be the same.
when you look at it just like that it seems to be like a regular white dial.. :(
anyone here can show me the mop eefect from different angles?

The facet links on the blackbird bracelet seals the deal for me!

The trick to MOP is having the right lighting.
