Hey, I'm just wondering is it possible to get the pilot bracelet in a matt finish, apart from the Blackbird version with faceted links?

Anybody got a chronomat with matt finish pilot bracelet?

The Chronomat 01 LE has a brushed bracelet, but I'm not sure if you can buy it individually; also, the end pieces for an 01 are wrong for a standard Chronomat. Beyond that, I'm not aware of a brushed Pilot bracelet that would fit any current generation Chronomats, other than the Blackbird. I'm not sure brushed would go well with an all-polished head anyway, but if you're looking to mix and match, why not go with a Blackbird bracelet? Those facets are nice.

A Blackbird on a UTC bracelet - that has to be the ultimate tool watch. Outstanding. :lingsrock:

Thank you.

It took a year to get it sorted and a lot of ridicule from guys with diamonds on thier 'tool' watches.
Again great thanks to Andrew.

Diamonds on a tool watch is like Liberace trying to be a Marine. The way I see it, if you're going to go for bling, do it in a way that says, "My watch will kick your watch's ass." Your BB is all muscle, and looks like it would take all comers!

one of my jeweller contacts has a chronomat in that the previous owner had professionaly refinished in a mat/satin look. looks good but makes the watch look a little like a fake. I wouldn't buy it!

again uk based though

OK, a couple newbie-type questions:

(1) Is the movement on the UTC clock quartz, manual or automatic?

(2) What happens after the date reaches 31? Does the second number stay at 1 while the first number flips to zero? There was a fake listing a while back that showed a big date on 32, which made me start to wonder how big dates actually reset at the end of the month. Since I have no experience with them, I honestly don't know.

UTC is quartz and the date changes from 31 to 01. It also assumes that there are 31 days in every month so has to be adjusted for shorter months.
