Ladies and gents,

Hope everybody is keeping well!

As many of you might have noticed, after two years of absence I am back on this forum. I got the watch bug again and wanted to get something to celebrate my successful MBA completion and recent promotion. With everybody's help I set my eyes on the Navi.

Anyways, long story short, I went to Calgary Jewelers (AD) today to see if they had what I was looking for. Navi, black face, on black croco and deployment clasp. They did not. Nevertheless, I started to talk with them. Pretty much told them that I want to get this watch next year during February for my bday. Also during February I would perhaps take advantage of better deals after the xmas rush. They assured me that they always make good deals and the time of year doesn't matter. So, I said that if today they gave me what I was looking for, well, we would shake hands right on the spot. So, I asked for 30% off the retail. Retail $5745CAD - 30% = 4022 plus the tax. I was out of there for $4220CAD.

The result, I put down a 25% deposit and now I am waiting for my baby!!!

:lingsrock:

What do you guys think? Good deal?

I am sooo happy can't wait. Like a kid at Christmas...ahahahahahaha...Hope I made a good deal.

Comgrats. 30% is always a good deal.

Just remember to wear something else rafting on the Kicking Horse. :)

Did you order the baton dial or with arabics? Hope to see some pics soon.

Welcome back :lingsrock: .

Well done on negotiating for the piece you desire Sasho. I know you will be on edge waiting for that phone call informing you that your newest addition has finally arrived. Good luck and hope the wait is not too long, did they give you an expected time frame? Looking forward to some action photos when it arrives.

Hi folks,

Just got a call from Calgary Jewelers my local AD and my lovely sales girl relayed that they dont have what I am looking for in Canada so the watch is actually coming over from Switzerland!!!

Will be here in about 4-6 weeks

So I guess I will receive it around Xmas or early next year in 2011.

It kinda sucks a bit that I have to wait this long, however its very cool at the same time since its coming directly from its birth place to me. No intermediary :cheer: Makes it kinda special.

Is this very common? Has it happened to many of you guys and is the wait really this long?

Thanks,
Alex

Yes it is common, Canada's a small market, and the wait can be a lot longer than 4 - 6 weeks. If that's what you were told then it likely means that there is stock in Switzerland available, if it had to be production scheduled then it would likely be 3 months +

I just order a Tissot automatic PRS 516 (it will give my bling a breather once in awhile) and same deal 5-6 weeks from Switzerland (to Winnipeg) longer if they have to do a production run. You are right though - it does suck :( I could buy it from another AD for full price, but this AD is giving me 25% off plus he is the only Breitling AD in Winnipeg so want to build a relationship with their business so will suck it up and wait ......

I had to wait about 3 months for my Blacksteel Seawolf Chrono. It was excruciating, but well worth it. Good luck!

I agree with you guys. The longer the wait the better its going to be when I finally get it. It will be so much more enjoyable. Well worth the wait! Its a good feeling knowing its soon going to make the journey across the pond...exciting.

Correction. I listened to the vm from the AD again since the first time I went over it pretty quick. The wait is actually going to be between 6 and 8 weeks. So it could be two months. Good times.
