I just won an auction on the 'bay for a Breitling 80770-N for $331. It's an old quartz model that says "DESIGNED AND TESTED WITH ERIC TABARLY" on the back, and is missing the UTC. Below are the pics. I wasn't able to find this precise variant on the Breitling Source database of models just the one with compas bezel.
I like the look of it and will likely send it to BUSA for overhaul and will try and find a decent deal on a replacement UTC. Studpidly, I didn't run this by the replica identification sub-forum here, so you might tell me this is a frankenwatch... Anyway, I would appreciate some feedback as to whether this was a worthwhile deal at $331 (understanding that value is a relative term...).

Pictures are taken from the auction, as I have not yet recieved the watch.

Real and about the right price in that condition.

Thanks Roff! Any idea where to find a UTC? Post a WTB here?

I think that you will be very lucky to find one - haven't seen one in years.
