Only shrinks when I'm in the pool.

Does anyone else experience their breitling looks a bit smaller after owning it for some time. I have a 42 mm SO and at first I thought it was hefty but recently I have been looking at it and I think it appears on the small side. May look to upgrade to a Steelfish. Undecided.

I still want a daily wearer but the Steelfish looks like it could be the perfect size.

Until that looks small and then I'll want an Avenger.

I have many watches (only 1 Breitling) with all different size watch faces (35 - 48mm). Each, of course, has a unique look and size is for me a style element equally as important as style, color, strap and complications. So IMHO I wouldn't be too concerned about size but rather just enjoy the uniqueness of each piece.

The Steelfish isn't ever going to look small - it's simply too much of a beast. Just don't dump the Superocean.

My Fish looks small every time i move to it from the Skyland. Half an hour later, it looks perfect. Shrinkage then growage!

IMO, depending on your wrist size, certain will look, big, certain sizes will not!

Sure it happens - you get acclimated to anything and perpsective changes. I got rid of a couple Chrono Spueroceans because they started shrinking after I got some pieces such as the Steelfish. Now that I have the CSO back, it doesn't look as small as I remember. The Steelfish isn't ever going to look small - it's simply too much of a beast. Just don't dump the Superocean.

It happens quite often, I think. Seeing the watch daily makes your mind get used to it and it looks more and more normal on your wrist. After wearing something in the 48+ mm range for a couple of days, anything at around 42 mm looks like a childs watch initially. Then it takes 30 minutes or so, and I stop noticing the size difference.

I started with a Colt. It looked small immediately, so I bought a Steelfish. That fit perfectly, but began to shrink, so I bought a Skyland. Then I bought a Navi and a Superocean II. The SOII seemed small at first, but the more I wore it, the more used to it I became and it started to grow...So did the Skyland. Now the SO seems normal, and the Skyland seems huge (but in a good way). Moral of the story: They all look good in their own way.

After wearing the Super Avenger for a couple of months now, I don't notice the size as much as I used to. Everyone else does though. I don't notice the difference until I throw on my Submariner or Flieger. Then it's a DRASTIC difference. ~Brian

I actually felt the opposite. I felt that my Breitlings got larger and my wrists got smaller. I had a Chronomatic 49, and a 6.75, and two Worlds....and after awhile I felt like they got bigger and looked too big on me....so I sold them all...and went with smaller dials. My most recent acquisition is however a 46mm but I'll be ok with it since its a world watch with alarm.

I thought it was me! Yes I've experienced shrinkage, and it had nothing to do with water. Each and every watch I purchased seem big at the time but as I kept wearing them they appeared, when looking at the watch on my wrist, that it seem smaller. I did notice, however, that when looking into a mirror and seeing the watch on my wrist that it somehow looked larger than when just looking at my arm.
