Dear all, I am new to the world of Breitling and have recently started shopping around for an Airwolf Raven with an Ocean Racer strap with deployment buckle. One of the AD's I have contacted offered me a 2009 Reno Air Race Airwolf Raven as NOS. Unfortunately I have not found the info I was looking for by doing a forum search and would therefor like to ask how this impacts the price initially and in regards to resale. Your expertise and help is greatly appreciated. Also since this will be my first Breitling watch any additional suggestions are very welcome. Thank you very much. Best, Oliver ![]() ![]() ![]() P.S. I was planing on verifying my Serial Numbers by calling Breitling in Switzerland, do you guys do that or are AD's 100% solid and Breitling itself does not offer this service? Might also be a way to learn more about the watches history. |

depends where you are - if US then Breitling USA keeps serial #s. But if you are dealing with an actual Breitling AUTHORIZED Dealer, you don't have anything to worry about. |

IIRC there have been a couple Reno LE's for sale floating around and they didn't command any special pricing. The fact one can be found NOS more than likely confirms there is little value if any added to it because of the edition. |

If you buy from an AD then it's real. As Sharkman mentions BUSA can confirm pieces based on serial number, and Breitling SA in Switzerland won't tell you - they only provide the information to ADs. As a general rule LEs that are simply logo versions aren't worth more new or resale - the limited number is offset by the specialist nature that reduces the pool of likely buyers. The Reno piece is more popular than some, but still not going to bump the price. |
