Hi,

I am visiting New York this weekend, and i've been speaking with two Breitling suppliers over the last few weeks, in relation to purchasing a Super Avenger II from them.

I have a few questions which i would greatly appreciate some help and advice with:


01 - am trying to make my mind up about which option to go with:

A - www.horologydetail.com

- pros: willing to meet me in their office in new york for physical hand over of watch for cash
- cons / worries: no real trace of payment | how can i confirm it is a genuine watch

B - www.authenticwatches.com

- pros: paypal to trace payment | great reviews online
- cons / worries: they are based / shipping from LA so worried that it might not arrive at my hotel in NY, before i leave the US on Monday (2nd March)


02 - is it difficult to change the links to fit your wrist, or should i bring it to a jeweller?

Neither is an Authorised Breiting Supplier. They are grey marked dealers.
As such I doubt you will get Breitling International Factory Warranty from them.
Your call what you want to do.
Browse through www.breitling.com to find authorised Breitlng Dealers that wil, also provide you with proper Breitling warranty.

Hahaha, nice one wessa... Let's say that I don't recommend grey dealers but I understand that pricing is different off course. And the latter one is for most people the most important one. Even though I will always do my best for my clients. Have sold watches to members on here by the way.

Just to chime in with the rest - even if a grey dealer might seem beneficial from a price point of view, one should also remember that having the full set (box, papers, warranty card...) will definitely help when you want to sell/trade the watch.

For sure, when purchasing the first Breitling you might say that you will NEVER pass it on - it did so as well, but nevertheless I sold both my first, second and third Breitling later on.

Wim, it was more of a rhetorical question rather than a challenge.
My position has already been well stated earlier in this thread.
