Can't comment on the diamonds, and the value may be hurt by a non Breitling watchmaker having been at it, but same advice as always - completed sales on eBay and chrono24.com (although there you will find dealer asking prices - sale prices will be lower). |

Thanks for the reply greatly appreciate it, is asking 2650 to much for it, and where would you recomend selling it as it appears people here on this board from my readings are very particular about it being 100 percent breitling authentic even with the original face? thanks |

Ebay is probably going to be your only option as your correct that most everyone here wouldn't be interested because its been opned and altered to a non-original / seal broke status. You might be reaching at that price, but you never know what people will buy and for how much on Ebay. Another option is to have the dial swapped back, get the rider tab replaced and send it off for a redo at Brietling. The basic service will likely run you +$500 US, but you'll have a watch that you will be able to market to the watch collecting world and not just a fashion / hiphop jewelry buyer. |

The MOP/diamond dial mania will hurt the price. Swap the dials, sell the diamonds!! ~Take the gun, leave the canoli~ |

Just purchased a large work of art so funds are a little tight, but I have contacted Breitling and will have it brought back to them . They will swap the face, service it and get it back to the order it needs to be in. thanks everyone. People on here have been very friendly and I will be around more to learn. |

Why don't you just put it on e-bay like it is? Some one else may actually appreciate the diamonds. I would put it on e-bay for at least one round and see what you get... |

Spend a small amount now and get that watch back to the proud piece it should be! Throw the Dial/diamonds/MOP on ebay and maybe some rap artist or jeweler to the stars will by it! That watch will look so much better the way it was meant to be, Breitling build these thing because they look professional and sorry to say in its condition you would have a hard time selling it to a Breitling lover! |

Why would you want to send the watch to Breitling to just to swap the dial? I believe you will be charged a lot more than $500+. Breitling will charge you for service, for new hands, for swapping the dial, they'll probably will charge you for new dial and possibly for something else. Plus, I am not sure you will get your diamond dial back, as this is not original Breitling part. Changing the dial is fairly easy procedure, good watchmaker should be able to do this for small fee ($100-200 I guess, definitely not more). Plus, you will not see the watch for some time, probably couple of months. That's fine if you can wait, but if you need money fast - I'd get a quote at your local watchmaker. |

I think the key is that not many of us are interested in it as is, and even less of us would be interested if we knew what this thing has been through. A trip to the Breitling spa would bring the watch up to 100% and be the right thing to do, unless he wants to sell the watch as-is or with the locally swapped dial with the full disclosure of its history. |

Agreed. A watch with a $100 local dial change won't be particularly appealing to many buyers either - just anticipating the communication from Breitling when it goes for it's next service - "because this watch has been worked on by a non authorised repairer the additional costs are going to be......." |

But this watch already was worked on by non-authorised person, who installed diamond dial, so the question will come-up now. I agree that more appealing scenario would be to restore the watch to original condition by Breitling, but it seems like too much work and too large of investment. Perhaps the OP is better off to offer watch for sale in it's current state. |
