A chronometer is a watch that contains a movement certified by the COSC for accuracy (-4 to +6 seconds per day for mechanical movements). All Breitlings since around 2001 are chronometer certified so any Chronomat / Chronomat Evolution from then onwards will be considered a chronometer. Prior to that they will not.
With a very few exceptions you can tell a chronometer Breitling by the model number - if the 3rd digit / 4th character is a 0 it is not a chronometer, if it's a 3 then it is.
