Breitling display cases are hands down nicer than any other watch maker's (excluding high-end watches). Given that 99% of Breitlings are polished steel, the entire case just glimmers and looks absolutely gorgeous.

I've been wanting a Panerai for a while now, and sometimes I wonder why I didn't get the Panerai over my Breitling, but I went back to the place I bought my watch today (Tourneau LV) and it all made sense. Anyone who's looking to maximize their dollar (especially first time buyers) can't help but make a b-line for the Breitling display.

Anyways - just an observation.

You've got a good point there, especially with the layout of Tourneau in Las Vegas. The Breitlings are right up front, with a whole bunch of models on display while the Panerais are stuck in a corner with 5 models. Still, the 005 I tried on there blew me away more than any other watch I tried on, even if it took 15 minutes for a salesman to ask me if I needed help.

Haha.. every time I go there, I try on a 005 with the intention of coming back to purchase it and take it home with me. Never happens for some reason. That said, I'm hoping to close on one by Christmas.

But you're right, the Breitling display at Tourneau LV is pretty damn amazing.

I am going to be passing through Washington DC on Monday and hoping to have time to drop in the Tourneau store while I'm there. Hopefully they have a better Panerai display than the LV store you guys mentioned. I really like the looks of the Pam 170 Submersible, Pam 50 Marina, and the Pam 144. Hopefully they have all of them so I can try them on, as I would like to add one of these beauties to the collection. I'm sure the Breitling display there will draw me like a magnet before I even get to the Panerai display though.

Yeh their displays really do "shine"! I was disappointed the Tourneau LV did not carry U.N. as they seemed to carry verything else.
