I purchased a older style chronomat 2 weeks ago, and well, it's got some accuracy 'issues' IMHO. As it is NOT a COSC model (a13050.1), what kind of accuracy should I expect? Right now I'm losing on the order of 70 seconds/DAY

I have a 2 year warrantee from the dealer (yes, an authorized 'ling dealer) - the debate - do I bring it to them to be adjusted, or do I send it up to 'ling to be overhauled (I got no papers with the watch - but it's old enough that the hands no longer glow - at ALL)

Without a service history the assumption has to be that the watch needs a Breitling service - a watch that old should be closing in on (or had) a second service by now.

I decided to BRING it in for sevice - yes, BRING - I drove up to Wilton CT. Left them with instractions for an overhaul, to fix the UTC Module (which doesn't run at all), and brought up that the face/hands etc no longer glow, and left them with a pre-authorization for $N - they said I was the first to ever do THAT (hey, why wait for mail to come in, go out, etc - just say 'if it's below XX, just DO IT"

Smaller building, but more "bustling" than I expected

Jus got back the quote

Gulp

But authorized - the UTC Module costs like a 2nd watch, which of course, it is

I know the paperwork says "6-8 weeks" - How long does it ACTUALLY take?

May be a little longer this close to Thanksgiving / Christmas because of the watchmakers taking time off. It also depends a lot on how many warranty repairs they have as they jump to the front of the line. Can also take longer if parts have to be ordered from Switzerland.

Ugh - I was HOPING to hear it was LESS - sigh. I miss my watch, and I've only owned it a few weeks
