I've got a White breitling Super Avenger latest model and just got a 2.5ct diamond bezel today for it and it is Awesome!

But my mate has a Rolex DSSD and wants my watch and sum cash for his...we haven't talked about how much...but deff a good deal.

But I dunno....I do love the DSSD but it's just so small and not very stunning to look at!

But it's a fantastic Rolex Watch.

So I'm not sure....I'm only 33 maybe I'll wait until I'm 50 and get a rolex then LOL!

What would you guys do?

If the sum of cash is not a lot, trade it. SA is awesome, but not the same class as DSSD imho.

Trade that blinged SA without a moments hesitation! :)

The SDDS is an INFINITELY better watch (and this is coming from an SA owner).

Yeah that's not even close for me - Deep Sea is in a different class.

This is harking back to the question of "Why Rolex?"

For the simple reason that the diver/sports range of Rolex's are classic, simple and rugged. A 1980's Sub will be just as wearable and dependable today. I'm sure that also applies to the DSSD in 10-20 years time.

An iced out SA is not as versatile as a SeaDweller, DeepSea or not. It'll turn out to be a watch that you'll keep for years.

Just my 2c

btw, i'm 34

Yeah, what everybody else said. The DSSD, while not my favorite Rolex, is just in a different league than the SA.

?

I believe it is 44 or 45mm, which is quite large in rolex standards. And personally i think this watch size and design is more appropriate while the SA is just obnoxiously large and flashy (I am a previous SA owner, so i mean no offense).
I sold my SA because it seemed unprofessional to wear to work, sends the wrong message to people. And i can only imagine what it is like with the diamond bezel
The sea dweller on the other hand can be worn every day and is not too flashy. its a more sophisticated watch, and adds a little more class, with alittle less bling. If i were you, i wouldnt even think twice.

But this is just my $0.02
Unless youre more about the bling, in which case doesnt get much blingier than a SA w/ diamonds.

Good luck!

If I were you, I'd have traded by now.

only a fool would take a SA over a DSSD. Your friend is out of his mind....take advantage of it.
