I have looked at the Super Avenger (white dial) a bunch of times. I really like the look of the watch but when in comes to spending over 3500 or so (after discount) I always talk myself out of by saying let me get something that would be more for everyday use. Do you guys wear yours all the time? Do you see the massive (massive not big) watch style sticking around? Thanks guys!

Little big for my taste, I've got a chrono avenger and a seawolf that play big enough on the wrist and don't have all the bling of the SA. Also have a superocean that is a sweet watch and looks great at 42mm!

I wear mine pretty much all the time, bar one or two days a week and do not find it uncomfortable at all as a daily wearer.
But then I came down from a U-Boat Classico 53mm watch

For me I would have preferred the SA to be a little bigger, I think the 48mm is including the crown, and the actual face looks smaller than most 48mm watches imo.

You can always wear it on a Diver Pro II rubber strap as that dresses it down a little and maybe consider the black or blue dials as they appear smaller than the white version.

my SA is my everyday go to watch. only you will know if its the right watch for you. if you have tried it on and you like it you will wear it. yes its a big, chunky, blingy watch....but thats what its made for. to be honest for the money there is nothing in the market that compares to it IMO.

48mm is without the crown. Breitlings just tend to wear a little bit smaller than some of the others out there.

Some people can pull it off, others can't.

I think the Super Avenger looks awkward on smaller people, but everyone has their own opinion of the piece.

What do you think?

I switch between my Chrono Avenger and Steelfish during the week, my SA has been relegated to weekend wear.

I know the SA looks ridiculous on my 6.5" wrist, but I love the way it looks. There are, however, two reasons that I don't wear it more regularly: First, I just can't get used to the weight. The size doesn't bother me but, even with every removable link taken out of the bracelet, the watch still weighs in at 8.4 ounces. Secondly, the polished case and bracelet are scratch magnets. I've only worn the watch a dozen times or so since I got it new and there are several hairlines and a small scuff on the bracelet. The fact that it's polished really magnifies any mark, no matter how slight. By comparison, my Chrono Avenger is over 7 years old and was worn daily for 3 years, yet the brushed finish shows very few marks.

It's because of these factors that I've been toying with the idea of selling the SA but I always talk myself out of it when I see how great it looks.

I couldn't agree more. That's the only negative to owning a polished Breitling.

Sorry if I am hyjacking the thread (new to the forum, not sure how it works, if it's more appropriate to post a new one, please advise).

I also am a big fan of the Super Avenger, and also the Navitimer. I am looking to upgrade my everyday Hercules (which I love) with one of them, which one do you guys like more and why, maybe you could post some comparison pics?

Thanks much in advance, this forum is AMAZING!

the SA is an amazing watch. i own one so i can vouch for it. but other SA owners on here will tell you the same thing. The navitimer though is more classic and should be more versatile IMO. to my the SA really is more of a casual watch. and since im a t shirt and jean guy that suits me just fine no pun intended.

as for the navitimer there is an amazing one for sale on the buy sell section i believe its for sale by flynbyu. looking at his post even im tempted to make an offer viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24145 you should really consider this piece. it wears just as big as the SA but i think it might be a step above in terms of class

Thanks for that, the watch he is selling is beautiful! As you said, the SA is more casual and I am going to use it as an every day piece, I dont wear suits much ;-) But I also love the look of the Navitimer. Which one do you like comfortability wise more on the hand? I really like how my Hercules feels, if that means anything.

i have tried on a navi in the store and it is super comfortable. the SA some people say its heavy but to be honest i dont feel it. i have a wrist size that is a tiny bit over 7 inches if that helps.

if you like that navi the one in that posting i showed you is a pretty awesome price.
