Hi all, I have a Breitling Hercules that I wear as a daily user, as far as I understand the crown doesn't screw in, and every once in a while it comes out and watch stops until I put it back in (mostly happens at nights, I guess I play with the crown while sleeping, but can't remember!), is that a known problem with them, can something be done to avoid the issue? Thank much |

Well, if it only happens at night you might want to consider not wearing to bed. It's like that old joke: Patient : Doctor, it hurts when I put my hands over my head. Doctor: Well stop putting your hands over your head! If it happens at times other than when you wear it to bed, it might be necessary for Breitling to take a look at it. Has it ever been serviced? |

Hi, it rarely happens, but does, which gets annoying. Other than that the watch runs perfectly. .No, it has not been serviced yet, do you recommend it being services or having a overhaul? Thanks much |

You may just be catching it on something and pulling it out - may not be a problem at all. On the other hand it could be that it's loosening up with age and wear. Services are needed every 5 - 7 years, although the watch generally tells you when it needs one with a reduced reserve or not being able to maintain COSC specs. The full service is a good idea at that point which will include a case restoration. |

I have an easy solution to the problem. Set up a video camera next to your bed as you sleep...make sure to zoom in on your wrist area...then the next time you wake up with you're crown popped out, review the tape. I know I usually wake up with my crown popped out every morning.

Lol, thanks! I will try that, but I might break the camera while sleeping, I do weird things while asleep. |
