Try Time & Gold in Langley if it was La Swiss you spoke to. Some people here have reported up to 30% discounts from AD's in the US, I've never been offered that up here.

You could pm FEAR and ask him for his AD contact info, he has the best one on the block from what I've heard!

Beautiful choice, by the way. In my top 5 for sure!

U mean Golden Tree?? Time & Gold I believe is downtown Vancouver. Or is their one out there too???

I fig'd 30% was about right.. But I was able to get 40% off my evo @ la swiss...highly doubt I can squeeze 40% off a LE though.

Ya, I have been eying this piece since they released it..really love the black face with the red..haven't been able to get it out of my head!

Was between this or the BB black steel and I can just see myself wearing this one waaay more.

Yeah there is one in Langley, that is the only one I know of. I agree, this piece will have way more usability/wearability.

Make sure you post pics when you get it!

It's pointless buying from the US - you'll get whacked for import duty on top of the HST, plus handling charges and HST on the handling charges.

I've always been able to get the same discount on an LE as on any other watch, though I may be in the minority. That said, if opinions on here are any indication, this LE won't exactly be flying off the shelves without some discounting help. The stores (even within the same chain) have to compete with one another so it's worth playing one off against another, and I can give you contact details for an Ontario AD if that helps - not sure what the tax situation is now that both ON and BC have moved to HST instead of GST / PST - you always used to be able to buy out of province with only GST charged.

Woah Roff, import say what?

We live less than an hour from the border, drive down and pick one up!

Sure - it's illegal to do that and not declare it though.

Oh boy, Justin! Looks like you might be getting a visit from a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

What's illegal! I'm innocent!

I never lie at the border, I usually go 2 or 3 times a month so it's really important to declare everything or I will lose in the long run due to the amount of times I have to go across the border.

On paper there are tons of different possible fees, but at the end of the day, I have never been charged anything but tax, and even that is not consistantly applied. I've had them charge partial tax, full tax, tax on things that shouldn't be taxed etc. Might be simpler now with the HST but I seriously doubt they will follow the letter of the law. They never have with me in atleast 100 trips in the past couple years.

Everyone I know who brought thier Lings across, including myself paid tax only.

Edit: I've been pulled over and brought inside to pay tax on as little as $200, but let go with as much as $900.

DAM the HST!!!! You are right Roff buying out of province no longer helps save on PST.

This may be a tad useful for other Canadians as well.

This is from a CBSA agent....

If you pull to the window and they ask you what you need to declare, you are supposed to declare EVERYTHING. Gas, food everything.

If for some reason, they pull you over and would like to look in your car, you can BEFORE they actually get to the car, inform them of anything you FORGOT to tell them about at the window, so long as they are not in your car yet, declare it at this point with no consequence.

If you forget something, and they find it thus reminding you that you forgot it, they can if they chose make your life a living hell.

Obviously, you should always prepare your invoices while you wait in the line like I do, thus reminding you of everything you need to declare.

That's a beauty.

I love the red accents on the dial.

Regarding OP - I also like the design. I like red accents on black dials, gives it a more sporty look IMO.
May have to see this one in the metal just to make sure the red isn't too much.

Does anyone know if this LE has to be purchased on bracelet?
