I just recieved my cape cod cloths in the mail lastnight. I took off the braclet to clean it and got great results with that. My question is how do i clean the case and the bezel? can you? Thanks Joe |

Just tape off the crystal with masking tape or paper, along with anything that you don't want polished - brushed surfaces for example, and then just clean in the same way as the bracelet. You need to avoid any accidental polishing of the crystal because it will remove the AR coating. |

In your recommendation to take the crystal, is there any issue with the adhesive from the tape hurting the AR coating? Just checking to see if there is a specific type of tape that people should use and that maybe they shouldn’t. |

I wouldn't recommend bear bond! |

The blue painters tape is the best. I doubt regular masking tape would hurt it in any way, but for $3 you might as well buy the good one. |

Regular masking tape works a treat, comes off easily, and doesn't affect the AR coating ![]() |

i've used scotch tape to take off fingerprint marks on the crystal and have seen people using it to tape off crystals while polishing their panerai bezels. |

Thanks You know the search function really works......... ![]() You only need to clean the residue off so running water will probably be sufficient. For regular cleaning a soft toothbrush and diluted dish soap or simple green. |
