Just wondering if anyone still has interest in the coral dial Superocean (pre-2009, older dial). I looked up some threads from a couple of years ago and it seems there was a 'Coral club' of some sort in peoples' signatures.

I have an opportunity to pick up a new circa 2006 coral superocean from an AD - so will get full 2 year warranty.
I've always been toying with getting an older dial superocean and this coral dial is a bit different than the normal black or blue, kinda calls to me on an ocean racer.

Any thoughts or old coral club members still out there? Let me know if you still like this dial or has it gotten "old". Thanks.

Terry

Hi,
I have one and love it! I don't wear it often, but it definately is a cool watch! My friends also bought their son one and put a blue rubber strap on it! Looks very cool. It would look great on an ocean racer and can be quite sporty! Good Luck!

I wouldn't want to wear one daily, but as something for the weekends, I would like it.

Sorry, not an owner, but I remembered seeing your thread. Tonight I came across an article from 2004, comparing a Doxa 600T Diver to a Breitling Superocean with coral dial:
http://www.doxa300t.com/600tbri/600tbri.htm
Never owned the coral dial, but it is certainly the best looking model IMO of all brands that have orange dials. I imagine with the new Superocean, they will discontinue it. Although I didn't hear anything official, on one of the websites - I think Prestigetime.com - below all of the Superocean models, it says "discontinued".
I'm a relative latecomer into the world of coloured dials, having recently purchased a Seawolf yellow dial.....wouldn't that be something, if the coral dial appeared on the Seawolf?
Here is another link which might be of interest to you:
http://www.friendsoforis.com/store/ORIS-Watch-Divers/
Don't know if you are into Oris watches or not, but they do have some pretty cool divers. This one is a special "Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition". It has a beautiful blue dial, with Coral hands and markers. A very hefty watch and at $2250AUD not too hefty a price! Before I got my Seawolf, it was a watch that I very seriously considered.
Sorry to get off the topic, but I find these divers watches with the coloured dials very interesting.
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks for info. Carl....
For some reason I just thought I might like an 'odd' or different color dial to wear in the summer for lake/water activities, something sporty. I'm pretty sure the coral SO is discontinued since announcement of the new SO II this year. When I saw this piece at an AD when I was traveling, though it would be a fun watch to have.

Colored dials spice things up, love the yellow Seawolf, if it just wasn't so big I would have had one by now!

I called AD other day and it still there, hmm. :)

If it's still at the AD, that should be a piece they are very motivated to sell. Might find yourself asking them for thier final price on that. I would!

I got one a few months ago and love it. The coral dial gives it a distinctive/noticeable look without being overhwelming. I wear it every day.
