Did B. leather straps years ago used to be with turned edge, now I see they have raw edge and painted over.
What is your opinion on one vs another.

Don't recall any changes, at least not in the last decade or so - I don't remember earlier than that.

There were some variations over the years.

:yeahthat Straps used to be quite a bit thinner a few years back and I've come across a few with a rolled edge.

The edges are burnished and dyed.

When Breitling went to much thicker straps the price went up considerably. I love their croco. But my cost on an OEM IWC alligator (made by Camille Fournier) is under $300.

As croco or alligator straps go, Breitlings are very expensive. I love them and still buy them mind you - but Geez.

I haven't had a problem at all with the edges. Given the thickness, rolled edges would add too much bulk to the current line of straps.
