Was wondering if someone could clarify for me. I've seen some people on here have brushed skyracers but the Breitling website only has a polished finish available. Do they just not make them in a brushed finished anymore? If so when did they stop manufacturin the brushed option? Thanks for the help! |

They are all polished and were never offered as a brushed model. If youve seen any brushed versions, they would have to have been done after the initial purchase. |

OK, well then how would one go about getting it brushed? Is it safe to do it or does that void the warranty? Below is the post I was thinking of initially. http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4824 |

Depending on how brave you feel, you could brush it yourself. It would take you some time to get the hang of it, but it's not hard. Getting a really perfect finish all over would take time. The great thing is, you can correct small mistakes very easily with further brushing. If you don't feel up to it, you could take it to a machine shop familiar with this technique. Paying someone the time to do it right would cost a lot though. I would totally spend $20 on Scotchbrite pads with the appropriate level of abrassiveness and do it myself though. I brush things at work like lens bezels in $150,000 camera systems, it's super easy with a little practice and time. |
