This slate dial goes so well with most colors. I'm really glad I chose this one. :D
Cheers,
Ron

Ron,

Very cool picture, now if you put the EVO on a metal bracelet like it was meant to be it would meet it's true potential

Oh, you mean the one that came with it which I have in the drawer while I break in the croco... Here it is for you on the day I received it. (March 17th) Croco didn't go on it for two days. Hard to decide which way it looks best for me. Some guys want only the bracelet and others only the strap. It's weather dependant, you know... :)
Cheers,
Ron

which is a good argument for keeping it on the strap. She really wants me to size the bracelet for her because she loves that watch also. I ain't doing it. She has her choice of the two below (wears the larger Callisto most of the time. The Cockpit Lady sits forlorn on her dresser. :( ) but she beats hell out of them. Wears them very "loose" like a bracelet. More swirlies and desk diving scratches than I would have thought possible. I use the good old Cape Cod polishing cloth on them every two or three months but they really need a professional polish by Breitling. They would look the same again in another couple of months. She says a watch should be "worn" and that the scratches give it "character". I don't share that opinion because I like to take photos and scratches ruin the shots IMO. As for the EVO being "jewelry", I can't argue that but it is still a hell of a fine timepiece. As evidenced by the rest of my collection, I'm secure enough in my watch masculinity to wear the EVO in spite of the naysayers who spout "diamonds are a girl's best friend". The EVO is a kick to wear in a "target rich" environment I assure you. Hahahahahaha!!! 8)
Cheers,
Ron

it was to find someone to do this for me. My sister's wrist is very small and she is the one who asked if it could be done with the three removed links which would have sat in a drawer for years. I took the links to many different jewelers and all said it was impossible to mate whte gold posts onto 316L stainless steel. Finally found a guy whose brother had recently purchased a $32,000 laser soldering machine who thought he could do it and he did. The bale for the pendant is white gold also and was hand crafted for the link. The gold on both the earrings and pendant were rhodium plated to more closely match the shading of the stainless steel. Total cost to me was $550 USD which may seem like way too much to pay but it was the 2nd nicest birthday present my sister has ever received according to her. You've probably already guessed the 1st nicest which is the Callisto I gave her for a previous birthday. LOL. She rarely removes her B from her wrist and takes wonderful care of it as well. She also wears the earrings and pendant quite often. I suspect these are the only pieces like that anywhere in the world. Her husband has a display back Cosmonaute I gave to him a couple of years ago and they are both Breitling afficianados as you might expect. I gave him a Navitimer jacket earlier this year which he loves and below are a couple of pics of Sis wearing the Breitling jacket I gave her for Christmas last year. Only a few (3 I was told) of these ladies jackets were ever made so if you see one available anywhere, you might want to consider snagging it. LOL. Glad you liked the jewelry shots. :)
Cheers,
Ron
