Hello all. New member here. I am about to purchase a Superocean or Superocean II. I live in Tokyo, but will traveling to Holland, Belgium, and Hawaii (Honolulu). I could purchase my watch in Tokyo, but wanted to take advantage of the stronger yen, and the traveling I will be doing for work. Would greatly appreciate your participation in the poll (if I did it correctly) and if anyone had the retail prices for the three areas listed above. Thank you in advance.

Yamato

Since they are all AD's buy where you get the best bang for the Yen, my bet would be in the good old USA! Plus i've heard that tax is very high in Holland, not sure on that but have seen it on another forum!

Yep, I would expect prices to be cheapest in Hawaii, from those options. However, the only Breitling AD I've been to in Hawaii is Tourneau at Waikiki, and they don't seem to have the best reputation among forum members for service and price. I'm sure there are other ADs in Honolulu.

Currenty working in Germany and I travelled through Belguim Holland and France and I can deffo say that the prices are all pretty much the same and airports are really bad places to buy watches as they are not really ads they just carry watches, Id deffo try the USA option as that seams the best to me.

The Jewlery Gallery by Macy's is an AD at the Ala Moana shopping center. I recently bought a Navitimer World there. I'm a Breitling newbie but I was satisfied with their service and feel they were competative on their price (discounts) compared to what I'd seen in the SF Bay, San Diego and Las Vegas areas.

Thank you for the advice folks! I will be leaning to the AD in Hawaii suggestion (Macy's) but additional advice is welcome!

Prices will be quite similar. Remember, prices in US are without tax, and for the EU, You will get the tax back at the airport, when You leave.

I recommend buying, where You get either the best discount, freeby or personal treatment (the last would probably favor the US, as they have in average friendlier salestaff).

Hi there,

I live in Holland too, look for Breitling in Germany. Www.watchdeal.de is a trusted seller i recommend. The Superocean Steelfish is only €1700,- there. Here in holland i have to pay €2295 for the same.

Succes!
Rene

The Jewelry Gallery at Macy's in the Ala Moana shopping center (Honolulu) is having a Brietling event on 12/4/2010. Factory Rep is going to be there and Breitlings are so supposed to be 25% off. Plus free Breitling gift with purchase.

Seriously thinking about the Colt GMT.

I leave on the 4th and won't make it to the sale... Hopefully the Friends and Family sale will be on. The watch will be a major part of the trip for me. Thanks for the information! Please let me know if you hear anything else.

Yamoto1 - I just found out yesterday that the 12/4 event is the Family and Friends sale. But you can do all the paperwork for your purchase ahead of time if you can't be there that day.

Macy's typically holds a pre-sale prior to the actual Friends and Family sale day. You can purchase your watch during the pre-sale but can't pick it up until the actual day of the sale. If you are flying out on the 4th and can't pick up the watch in person, you can make arrangements to have it sent to you. One good thing about the pre-sale is that you can order any Breitling that is not in stock, get the sale price and pick it up when it arrives. No money this year but I'd love to get a Chronomat before they are gone.
