Post subject:  Colt GMT - Silver or Black Dial

I've pretty much made up my mind to purchase a Colt GMT in December at my local AD's Breitling Rep event but my saleperson needs to order the watch in the next few days to make sure it is there in time. I'm torn between the silver (white) and black dials. I have an Omega Seamaster GMT Great White (which I love) so I know about some people's claims the white dials are too hard to read (I personally never found that to be true). This is purely a cosmetic decision. Opinions? Thanks.

I personally like the black. Are you getting the new version of the GMT??

Silver/White is my preference on the smaller dials unless it's something sporty like a SO II.

No, the GMT not the GMT+. I don't like the bezel on the GMT+.

Glad to hear you are going for the Gmt and not the II !

If I was to order new I would personally go for the silver/cream dial.

IMO it looks equally smashing on both the Pro II and on the gold leather

Good luck with your decision!!

Another vote for the silver (or cream, or white, or whatever!)

From the pictures on Breitling.com, I like the black face better. It looks like everything gets a little lost on the white...

I think the 'metallic' arabics get a llittle lost on the black dial for some reason. The silver can look a bit dressy on a brown leather strap or more casual on bracelet. I would vote for silver since in my case I have a couple black dials already, blue would be a nice compromise, ha!

I just picked up the GMT Carbon Black a few weeks ago. Actually went in to buy a white face but got sucked in by the look of black in the case. Absolutely love the watch. My favorite Breitling, and it gets lots of compliments. Still like the white face of the Breitlings and plan on picking up some white faced version soon though. I think everyone needs one of each frankly!

They are going to get one of each for me to do a side-by-side comparison. It'll be a hard choice.

I prefer the silver, too many black dials around.

And I totally agree with you on GMT+ bezel :nono: It diminishes the GMT's look IMO.
