A friend of mine sent me this. He is a very credible source. I havent heard back from as far as diameter but it looks like it has the b01 in it. I think it is a great look.

I don't like it....I wish it had the Heritage Bezel on it. Breitling needs to start modifying that movement because all the chrono layouts are exactly then same.

If that's real, I really like that. In fact I think it looks awesome! Very traditional and very cool. Kind of like Breitlings answer to the Speedy. I for one certainly hope it's real.

I've done a quick overlay of the Transocean on top of the B-01 and I would say it's got the same size dial/bezel but a marginally smaller case. Maybe 42/43mm.

I received confirmation today that Breitling is making this watch. I should know more this afternoon, but it is 43mm but I couldn't confirm a date of it's release. The details should be posted on George's blog shortly.

Good news, and may well be a logical place for an in house movement. I wonder which range it will be slotted into - Aeromarine I assume, although it doesn't have those design cues (although that range is starting to get confused).

cool, clean and classy! if it's significantly cheaper than the nav b01 le and has a higher WR...i will probably go for this one and wait for the regular navi to go into production.

Ya I like it but its not my style.

Is it to Replace any model in particular or is it a new line?

There have been a number of transocean models in the past so I assume that this is a new model that throws back to that heritage. It's possible that another model will be discontinued (likely at Basel) to maintain total models at a certain level, but likely not as a direct consequence.

It does have the B01. More details here:

http://breitlingreport.com/2010/10/22/the-4th-01/

It's also a limited edition, 2,000 in steel and 200 in gold. $6,700 for the head in SS.

Good to see the B01 going into another watch. As for this particular one - I'd have to see it in the metal - pretty pricey for what I'm seeing in pics.

Do you think it ever occured to the Swatch Group when they decided to quit selling movement kits that all they were doing was forcing their competitors to gain more prestige by going in house?

I don't see the appeal to this watch at all. I actually think it's very blah...and to be honest..it's ugly. $6700 for the head??? Outrageously priced! That can't even hold a candle to the Navi DB or the Chronomat DB. Sorry guys, I don't get this one at all.

BUT I'm excited to hear more about the Blackbird In-House! I'm really hope they don't effff with it.

It is pricey. I'm not sure I'd pay that much. But i do have a soft spot for the T' Ocean. I fell in love with a '72 (my birth year) Chrono. It was my second Breitling. That alone makes me like the new one.

I'd buy it. It's simple classy and a little retro to me. Look good in a suit.
