I'm researching the Navitimer Montbrillant Datora and found the following: Quote: From 2002 to 2008, it remained unchanged. In 2009, it received a new dial with double white rings. ![]() I'm guessing this is the updated version. If so, I actually prefer the older model. Is it still possible to find the pre-2009 model through an authorised dealer? Is it like a BMW in that a new model will devalue existing/older models? |

You may still find them at ADs, try contacting your national distributor and see if they can point you towards one. By this point you may be able to negotiate a slightly better deal as the watch will have been sitting in the store for a while, but it doesn't automatically happen when a revision to the model comes out - short term it can actually push prices up because of the now limited supply. |

What's the general consensus on the change? Am I alone in preferring the original? |

The official Breitling website shows both versions. Does this mean both are still available in parallel, or do they just continue to show recent models? |

The Breitling website is always slow to update. The design change replaced the old ones. Preference is a personal thing - personally I like both, but would probably lean to the earlier ones. |
