While in Las Vegas a year or so ago, I saw a number of Breitling Chronomat 01, with steel pilot bracelet. On alternating links around the bracelet, diamonds had been installed. There are a couple of NY jewelers, with internet sites, who advertise modifying pilot bracelets in this way (e.g. TracNY). Does anyone have any experience in this kind of modification or specific jeweler, and whether you felt it was worthwhile after a few months?

Second question. I am contemplating a Chronomat 01 two tone, blue face, retail appears to be 11k, approaching 12k. Would someone be able to provide me a confidential estimate of the price coming from an authorized dealer. There is a store here in Dallas that will likely discount, but I do not have a long term relationship. And if anyone has any suggestions as to an authorized dealer with whom to visit, even if out of town, I would appreciate the suggestion.

I spent some time at the new Breitling Boutique store in NY on Fifth Avenue. Beautiful place. I also found the people there to be quite nice, and very low key.
