Post subject: | Breitling Straps- Short vs Standard Length |
Recently, I was able to spend some time with a Navi World on a croc deployant strap. The strap was standard size and had not been shortened. As I have tiny wrists (6.5-6.75), the strap didn't fit me. I tried to envision how much I'd have to shorten the strap to make it fit my wrists and came to the conclusion that I don't think it can be done. Am I correct in assuming that only one side of a Breitling strap be altered? I noticed the strap at the 6 o'clock dial position seemed to be fixed and not easily alterable. Does anyone have experience with Breitling's short version of their straps? Would I be better off with a short one considering the size (or lack thereof) of my wrist? -Craig |

Only one side of the leather deployant can be altered (both sides of the rubber). Sharkman has short straps I believe - from memory they 1re 10mm shorter on each side. |

Thanks, Roff. Do tang straps have the same characteristic of only being adjustable on one side? |

All the shorts I have are about 10mm shorter as Roff indicated. But they are all tang buckle. I tried a deploy on one of my straps recently and it's simply too long for my wrist with the short stap - fits akwardly. So I'm using fairly inexpensive bi-fold or butterfly clasps that work just great. Really great in fact - much better than using the buckle. |

I also have really small wrists, and always have to order the short version strap with my Breitlings. It will fit you perfect |
