Now I KNOW I did a similar thread in the past however I changed it up from the GT to 6.75. After going to Govbergs this past weekend to try on the Navi World (which he didn't have in stock) :( I ended up trying out the 6.75 on a brown croc and fell in love! It also fit rather nice on my 7.5" wrist with enormous hands(PS. I'm about 6'3" 190lb). After trying it on I was pretty much sold however, I feel like I should still give the World a shot. I did however try on the plain Navitimer and it felt like a toy after the fact lol Will the World feel the same compared to the 6.75?

I love the way the World looks in pics but I'm almost scared to try it on in person because I scared to hate it ya know? lol

I think I will have George order me both and decide on the spot! :uplaugh:

Opinions please!

I'm still gonna go with the World. Well, that's what I would choose. I just think it looks classier than the 6.75. I have to think that the World will wear a bit different than the standard Navi though.

You really need to try both of them on at the same time and see which one "speaks" to you.

Thats exactly what I think i have to do as well. WR is not really an option since it would be my "going out/dress-up/dinner watch" plus it wold be on a croc which obviously I do not want to get too wet.

I want it to wear big but not look big. Also, I want to keep it classy on the Crocs. That way I don't "Ghetto" it up too much. I think the 6.75 wear totally differently on a croc than a bracelet and says more about the person IMO.

If anyone has these two watches and can do a side by side wrist shot of the two the would be PERFECT and much appreciated!

Not quite side by side, but here's both of mine on my wrist at a similar angle -

My opinion? Go for the World. It's just more classy IMO.

Very nice and thank you for the photos. I think you are the perfect candidate for me to be asking these questions for lol... What size is your wrist? Why did you choose each model and do they have their Pros and Cons? How do they wear in relation to size compared to one another?

Also, If you can sometime when you find a moment to take the same shot slightly further away I would appreciate it! :D

Basically, it is an early wedding gift for myself and I will 100% of the time have it on a black or brown croc strap w/ deployment. I really liked the 6.75 when I tried it on but would it get old? and do you think its too much?

Sorry for ALL the questions but this is what I running through my head right now and this is no cheap expense lol

THANK YOU!

My wrist is a fraction under 7.75" (dead-on 7.75" when it's hot weather!). I can't really explain why I bought the 6.75 other than I liked it when I tried it on! But then again, is there any better reason to buy a watch! I bought the Navi World because I always wanted a bigger sized but still traditionally styled Navitimer - and again it looked great on the wrist IMO.

In some respects the Navi World wears a little "longer" than the 6.75 on account of having slightly long lugs. Additionally the large crystal area on the World makes it seem a little bigger to me. That said, the 6.75 seems wider on the wrist (probably because it is!).

If I could only have one, I'd go with the World as it's more traditional in style, and I can't help thinking that the Bentley models have suffered in the last few years by having such an association with the whole bling bling gangsta thing. I think the croco strap tones the whole thing down nicely, but I'd still go with the World if it was a choice of just one.

PS - I'll see what I can do with some additional pics at the weekend as I took those couple I've posted up a few months back.

I don't think I could agree more on the whole gangsta thing that does seem to scare me because I do not want to be that cliché person with the big bentley on at the club ya know? Hense...Ronny from "The Jersey Shore" lol But then again the crocs do "tone it down" nicely! Another thing is I would be scared I would love it less and less from the day I get it because it may in fact be that model that gets played out.

Hmmmmmmmm.... Decisions decisions lol

Please post some photos when you get a chance.

Thanks!

I've owned a 6.75, a motor T, and two worlds...still own my white world, and there is no question in my mind that the white world wears just as large and is a classier looking watch.

Keep in mind, if its your dress up/dinner watch you will be most likely be wearing long sleeves which also lessens the effect of a watch being "too big".

I had the same dilemma a couple weeks back. After trying on the Navi World I didn't like it as much as I did from all of the pictures I've seen. It's still one of my top 3 Breitlings but fit a bit smaller then I thought it would. I think that the 6.75 (which I bought instead) has a nicer wrist presence. It's a big chunky watch and really stands out from the rest. The speed bracelet looks amazing and is my top choice, but I have seen a black dial w/ black croc strap and I have to say it looked awesome as well. I have a 7.5" wrist as well and the 6.75 is a perfect fit.

Some more questions...
1) do you think Bentleys are "Trendy" Watches? (Say 5 years from now) . Reason being....the Navitimer line has been out for a long time and people still tend to love them and most likely will love them for the next 50 years. Will the Bentley line do the same? Opinions?
2) Do you like the way the Bezel on the 6.75 rotates? Compared to the silky smooth Navitimer line, the 6.75 has more of a scratchy feel JMO

1) I'd say Bentley's are definitely more likely to be more transient than the Navitimer, but only in the way that say a Breitling Sirius or a Pluton was. In other words they'll always be good watches, but are unlikely IMO to have the same lasting appeal of the Navitimer purely because the Navi has the heritage and has remained pretty much unchanged for 60 years.

2) The "scratchy feel" is due to the much more sophisticated rack and pinion system Breitling use on slide rule of the Bentley models and the Airwolf, etc. It allows for better WR. The Navi uses a simple friction fit.
