Does Breitling make a few extra LE for the ambasadors, or would JT's B01 Navi be part of the same run as everyone else's?

It would be part of the production run. Frequently, low number watches are reserved for celebrity buyers / ambassadors / etc.

I think it looks pretty good. Not big and gaudy, very classy looking.

I may be dumb, but what does this have to do with Moscow? :?

Russia is probably a big and important market for Breitling.

I'm looking forward to seeing one in person. I love the display back!

I almost wish it were a mechanical (hand wound) movement.. but maybe I'm crazy.

I always thought the idea of a display back seemed cooler without a rotor blocking half of the movement.

So did Breitling, which is why they have not done very many auto DBs in the past. I agree that a manual wind can be a beautiful site (he says while looking at the back of his Lemania Cosmonaute), but I also think that a 'window' on to a nicely finished automatic movement is equally attractive in a different way - and of course it's much more 'dynamic'.

I am with you on that! I really wish there was a model in the Aeromarine line as well that was hand wound. I was actually looking at a lot of the German watches: Nomos, Muhle Glashutte, Tutima to name a few, thinking that I might go that route. I think it would be fantastic to have a watch like the Navi with such a movement. Personally, I could care less about a display back, one reason I like Breitling and Rolex so much.
Cheers,
Carl
