Even thought these watches have completely different looks I love them both and in time hope to own one of each. With that said, was just curious if most of you guys prefer the look of the Navitimer or Chronomat range? Thanks

I would guess most guys here would go for the Navitimer as its kind of the top/ultimate Breilting but for me its the Chronomat... My first love...
Both are great though......

I have to go with the Navitimer line, but the Chronomat is growing on me.

Funny how the Navi gets all the credit for being totally "breitling", when the chronomat is actually the signature line.

Both.

Really though I think it depends on what you're gonna be doing. If water resistance is important to you then I'd say go with the Chronomat. Either one is pretty damn nice.

The Navitimer is more iconic in terms of looks although the Chronomat name actually pre-dates the Navitimer name. (Early 40's for the Chronomat and early 50's for the Navi). The difference is that the current Chronomat looks nothing like the original Chronomat as it's evolved over the years, whereas the Navitimer hasn't changed much visually in almost 60 years.

As Roman said, both have their place IMO.

I own both...

Initially I bought Chronomat Longitude (older style 40mm case), then Navitimer and eventually Chronomat Evolution.

I prefer the Navitimer over the Chronomat.

And yet I prefer the B01 over the N01. I know: I'm weird. :?

Correct - Although The Montbrillant Datora In The Navitimer Range Is More Of A Chronomat than a Navitimer In The Strictest Sense.

While I Do Like Very Much The Original Chronomat - I Do Not Like The Current Rendition Of Said Model - Find Them Gaudy!

I Love The Navitimer - Nothing Is More Breitling!

Cheers,

Enezdez

Well, it is hard to go wrong with either, but it depends what you like to see when you look down at your wrist. I like Navi's, but the dial and face just seem a little too cluttered and "busy" for me, so I wear a Chronomat which, by the way, is (I think) Breitling's all-time best selling watch. 'nuff said.

I agree with Roman, get both.
I have the Nai and two of my friends have different Chronmats.
So I will end up with both some time.

I have a Navi but like the Chronomat, I guess it's all down to personal choice. I went for the Navi as it's the Breitling in my opinion.

Navitimer for me although I do also like the Chronomat. The Breitling brand for me is synonymous with pilot's and flying and the pilot's watch of choice is the Navitimer. Plus I love the busy dial and slide rule.
