So here's the deal. I once upon a time was looking for a Breitling while on vacation and saw the Steelfish. Before I completed my transaction I tried on a Super Avenger....I think you all know where I'm going with this.

7 months later I'm ready to buy my SA. Here's the catch. I am 100% in love with the white dial but my AD just sold the one he had. And I've been told that there is pretty lengthy wait for a white dial in Canada seeing how there are a few people who have already paid for them and are waiting (ahead of me). All they have at the moment is a blue dial.

I'm asking myself whether I will regret getting a blue/blue dial seeing how much I really prefer the white....tough call because i like blue but much prefer white.....and I need a new big bad boy on my wrist soon to put some excitment in my life lol :) Suggestions!!!????

Hello Dimitri, and welcome!

I know and understand your dilemma. How boring my advice might be, it is still to wait for the white dial to come. If that's the one you really want, chances are that if you try to adapt with the blue dial instead you might not be fully satisfied.

Try to get your AD to call around and ask if there's another dealer with a white dial in stock. You might get lucky. Or, call a few dealers yourself (they ate all listed on Breitling's official webpage) and see what's available.

i think a general rule towards watch happiness is to never settle for something. even if it makes you happy in the short term, youre going to wish you got what you actually wanted eventually. although i certainly understand where youre coming from.

Hi, :welcome: to the madhouse!!
Personally, I would wait and get the one you wanted. When I was looking for my white dial Super Avenger a few months ago, no-one claimed they could get one. I left my phone number with some dealers, and within a week 3 of them had them in their stores! I already had a source for mine, I just wanted to see a white-dialled one.
Shop around, you may get one quicker than you think!!

You are (probably) going to have your SA for a long time, so be sure to follow your heart....

I was in the same situation last week - I had been waiting for months for my white SA to arrive, then the new blue 2008 came in and I fell in love.
(all my previous B´s are blue, so I guess I felt comfortable)

And remember, you can always buy another one. Owning two SA´s is not a crime!

Yep, I agree with the previous comments. You're buying it for the long term so make sure you're totally happy with what you're getting.

Thanks everybody....I think I'm going to do just that. I like the idea of owning 2 SAs hahahah but I don't think my budget permits it yet! I'm going to speak to my AD and see what we can work out :):)

It's certainly not a crime! I loved the black and white equally so ended up with both!

Yes I agree with everyone else - if you buy second-best you will definitely regret it. Remember these watches are pure luxury goods, so there is absolutely no point in buying one if you are not 100% happy with it.

Well it was never going to take long for someone to say both....

I have to agree with everyone else - short term pain for a lifelong appreciation. Also, if your Canadian AD is La Swiss, they are the distributor for Canada so you may be able to have them push Breitling to produce more white faced versions. I am assuming that part of the delay is the addition of the baton model and the increasing popularity of the SA.

Completely Agree. The Blue SA will keep you happy for 3 days. Fourth day onward you will wish you had waited out
