Thinking about ordering my 2nd Ling. Doesnt seem like people on the boards have the Diver Pro band besides the blacksteel owners Skyland with either the Slate Dial or Black w/ the Diver Pro (Rubber band) What do you guys think? Seeing that the new tread is rubber bands... I figured I have a Steel one coming in soon (will post pics when it arrives) and I also have my eyes on an alligator band Panerai with black face...Thanks in advanced! |

When I Bought My SA, I ordered the diver pro thinking I might use it as an occasional change from the bracelet but I didn't like it so sold the strap on. The diver pro works well with lots of 'lings but I preferred the bracelet......the one advantage is it is the only 'bargain' breitling product costing only £35 in the UK with buckle. |

Personally I'm not a big fan of rubber bands. They definitely have their place as tool watch accessories (i.e. if you are diving, etc), but croco straps and bracelets are the only options for me. If I was in the market for a Skyland I'd choose either the black dial on the bracelet, or the slate grey with a brown croco strap. This last combination reminds me of the CA worn in Blood Diamond which I think looked great, but on the Skyland you get the beauty of polished steel as well. |

I saw a Skyland with blue dial and blue diver pro at my AD about a week ago, and it looked great. Since the watch is all polished, it is a lot of polished steel with the PRO II as well, so the Diver Pro kind of tones it down. It definitely gives it a different look. The Ocean Racer also looks amazing, but it is about 350.00 just by itself. I think the Diver Pro would look great with either grey or black dial. Cheers, Carl |

Thanks for the replies...yeah...I figured I changed it up a bit..sort of like a "real daily" watch that I dont have to care about stratching up or whatever. I would love to wear a steel watch daily but from my last experience it just gets too messed up with daily wear and tear. |

Personally, I like the weight the bracelet adds to a Brietling, it just seems to add to the overall bulletproof feel. I also feel that it balances out the weight a little more naturally. I tried on a Skyland on a black rubber strap, but didnt like top heaviness to it. Plus the quality of Breitling's polishing sets their bracelets apart from almost everyone else's. Ultimately it boils down to personal preference, so try em out and figure out which one works best for you. |

Mikey - True. I actually did try on the AS with the diver pro band and it didnt feel too bad, although I have to agree it did feel a lil top heavy though. The one I tried on was a slate dial. Looked pretty good...a lil different. I have also noticed many watch companies coming out with rubber bands these days... |

Just purchased the AS myself with the black dial. I like the contrast with the black dial and white numbers. It came with the bracelet which I think really dresses it up nice and is good for all occasions. However, after having it on my wrist for a few, I just ordered a brown leather strap to also put on it. You can never go wrong with options. Like many of the others have mentioned, I too think the black dial with the brown leather looks tough. Casual yet rugged. It also reminded me of the CA in Blood Diamond which I liked a lot. Good luck! -CK |

CK Thanks. I have a steel band watch was just looking to change it up a bit which is why I thought of going with rubber since its more durable and rugged. I could always pick up a black croc band later on for nicer events etc. Thanks for the input! |

I am a dyed in the wool metal bracelet person, however I can definately appreciate the lightness and comfort of a rubber or leather strap.. some people just like them better, and to each their own. But for me, the metal bracelet takes the cake every time! ![]() |

Touche! Figured a rubber band that is more of a "beater" where you really dont have to worry about a thing would be nice for a change, instead of always keeping the sleeve down to not stratch the steel...but then again...something as nice as a ling shouldnt be covered up!!! |
