Due to the lack of excitement regarding the new Colt GMT+, Breitling will begin producing the previous version, the Colt GMT, again. I just found this out today and confirmed with George. I don't think there are any plans to discontinue the GMT+. |

Good move. It's a far better looking watch. |

Definitely a better looking watch. I just wish they'd make a GMT Steelfish, that would be pretty perfect to me. |

There's always that limited edition GMT Steelfish that pops up for sale from time to time. I've thought of that, but it doesn't really leave many options. I'll just get a regular Steelfish. |

That is great news! I didn't think the GMT+ was bad, but certainly not worth the extra hundreds of bucks they added to it, when all the changes were only cosmetic. Something about that bracelet I just don't like, it reminds me a lot of an Omega Constellation, which has never been one of my favourites either. I also noticed on Prestigetime.com that below their selection of Superocean watches, it says the older model is discontinued, except for the yellow and coral dial models. I hope not. Anybody heard any rumblings about the Superoceans? I will be at my AD on Saturday, and will ask there. When I got my Steelfish last Friday, there was a yellow dial Seawolf that caught my eye. There is really very little to beat the looks, heft, and feel of the Superocean traditional Aeromarine models. Cheers, Carl |

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the Superocean is going to be discontinued. Superocean II or Abyss or New Wave, whatever they call it is replacing it. |

I'm guessing that at the very least sales figures talk loudly. I hope you're right Roff, but usually marketing people only listen to themselves. If I take what happened at BMW as comparing example, chief designer Bangle did great damage for BMW purists (as is the case lately for Breitling, especially with all those "LE" versions appearing) but nobody was listening at BMW. Finally, he had to be replaced before we could see a big return to a BMW more conventional design, for the exterior as well as the interior, and general praise from the press and the public alike for the new "F" series models. |
