Do any guys in the UK use watch insurance to cover their pieces?

Had a look on TH March and quote seems reasonable. About £10 a month to insure a £3500 watch.

Any recommendations on watch insurance companies?

I went with Direct Line Home Insurance Plus home policy

They offer a very good level of standard cover with a high single item limit so you might find a £3500 watch is covered anyway.

The good thing with policies like that is you don't have to keep telling them everytime you change a watch :wink:

I get mine with a Natwest Private Banking Account.
There are some rather good deals available through banks. New For Old is a must, I know direct line are very adherent to this rule, you don't want a 'depreciated' cheque through for a currently available model!

I use Bank of Scotland insurance for my contents and have my watches covered for a very reasonable additional fee for both inside and outside the house, each one is listed seperately but subject to the usual receipt or valuation evidence in the event of a claim.

As the guys say Home ins but...make sure you are covered for loss (of it) outside of the house.

I would strongly reccommend Hiscox for insuring watches, they specialise in unusual policies such as watch collections and the main benefit is that you don't have to let them know everytime you change your watch.
