I just want to hear why all you people like Breitling? What is it that triggers you love of Breitling? I personally bought an Breitling SO Heritage 46 LE this summer. I totally love my Breitling, but I can't get myself to like most of the other models. I find them to "messy", overloaded with all kinds of features that is more or less usefull. So I would like to hear what YOU think about the brand. |

To keep my opinion short and sweet...Besides the craftsmanship and quality. I (JMO) like how they are heavy watches and you feel like you actually get your moneys worth compared to Rolex for example. I do not like the feel of anything that is light, light = cheap to me. Also, they have a model to fit everyones need! ![]() |

So I would like to hear what YOU think about the brand. IMO, its the next generation of STYLE watches. When you think back 10-20 years ago, rolex was so awesome, and MOST people didnt know what the heck a breitling was. Today, Rolex is so played out, it seems like everyone and their mother has owned one or does own one. 1. The chrono is one attractive feature that I like. 2. the aggressive size of the watches. They are just so in your face I dont see how people can miss them. Each one is so unique. 3. The craftsmen ship and quality, especially the DETAILED quality, is superior. They make over 350 watches and they sell about 10 percent of what rolex sales. they are so much better. 4. They have a 2 year warranty vs rolex 1 year. 5. The quality of diamonds also that they use is the best. They dont put junk in their watches. 6. I could go on and on and on, and I think you will find most people on the forum can too. ![]() ![]() |

Hmmm, I always liked Breitling, but also found them a bit overloaded, but once you have them on the wrist, perspectives change... I put this one on my wrist... ![]() And fell in love. |

I started with Breitling through vintage pieces and that brought me to the more recent models. I'm not really a 'bling' kinda guy, but I do feel that Breitling has offered a lot of variety and quality at a reasonable value. Not all of the watches are to my taste, but there has been enough there that does appeal to keep me around the brand. I have been less enamoured with their offerings of the last couple of years, but things have improved significantly for me with the new in house models. |

I like the Breitling slogan: Instruments for Professionals. From the navitimer series, to the 3000m wr, huge chunk of steel seawolf, and the one of kind of emergency, I feel that Breitling produces some pretty exciting watches compared to others in their price range. Like the above poster said, and as silly as it sounds, it FEELS like you're getting your money's worth for a generic mvmt in the price range. Heavy. Thick. Excellent build quality. Crazy variety of styles, bracelets, straps, and configurations. Polished, brushed, leather, rubber, diamonds, chronos, gmts, etc. Now that Breitling is producing their own movement, it just makes the brand that much better. Hopefully we will see some cool and innovative stuff in the near future. |

The history of the brand and the aviation angle are just the icing on the cake. |

I'm gonna agree with, well, everyone so far. One thing that I really love about them is the feel of the watch. Not saying anything bad about Rolex, they make some outstanding watches, but their bracelets generally suck. If I'm dropping $5k plus on a watch, I want the bracelet to feel like it's made out of an actual metal, not the flimsy crap that many of them are on. I looked at a Sub recently and the bracelet was so light and flimsy that I couldn't stand it. I also love the variety that Breitling offers, not just the different models, but the options within each model. Multiple dial colors and numerous strap options make it easy to get the "right" watch for you, as opposed to getting the black dial or the black dial as it is with some other manufactures. I'm not saying that Breitlings are the only watches that I like, but they do many things with their line-up and they do them well as opposed to just making nice dress watches or nice tool watches, they give you both. |

I like the way they look. I've also discovered Breitling makes some very robust watches, at least in the Aeromarine range. |

Aeromarine! I have looked at all the Breitlings over and over again, and I keep coming back to the Aeromarine line. I just think they are the most robust and just sexy, good looking man watches! Not only that, but many of their Aeromarine models are the very best bang for the buck there is. I realize that the movements are not total inhouse, but the accuracy you get from them can be quite amazing. I am not sure what tuning Breitling does with the high grade ETA movements, but I have had the Caliber 17 in a few of my Breitlings, and it's robust and hard to beat. The detail and quality of workmanship on their dials and cases is another thing that stands out in my mind. I now own my second Steelfish. The quality speaks for itself. The bracelets and straps are amazing. And the value is second-to-none, whether you buy new or used. I find the resale value quite a step above some other brands, especially Omega comes to mind. Although I have never bought a watch with resale value as a consideration, I was astounded at how little the resale value on my four recently sold Omegas was. Never found that with a Breitling. Quality of the leather strap on my Steelfish is the best. I even looked at other aftermarket straps, to change it up a bit, but I cannot find anything that looks better, or seems to be better made. Cheers, Carl |

Breitling? Size, style, and rock solid build. Also outstanding variety. Most of all, it's not a run of the mill, very common luxury item. People don't think "I'm successful, therefore I guess I should get a Breitling" like they do other brands. |

For me it was the weight and feel of the watch on my wrist but most of all the logo. As a Naval Aviator in the US Navy The logo represents the Aviation and Nautical (Aeronautical) aspect of what I have done for the past 20+ years. I gleemed at the brand through the display cases in every port I visited around the world and it just made sense to me to have one as a retirement gift. Well one led to two and currently working on my third. ![]() |

I love the quality, durability and the look of Breitling. My favorite brand by far. Great thread! -Don ![]() |
