Hello
I would like to buy a breitling watch.
But the vendor say me that each year I need to make a little revision and after five years a big revision.
I have ask how much a little and big revision cost, but the vendor no reply directly a my question.
I see other vendor and it's the same problem.
Finally I have one answer : 600 SFr.- =300£ = 595$us = 610$can = 380€
This price are only for the service. If some pieces are changing you pay more.

My surprise are that, for a watch expensive 5700 SFr.- = 2850£ = 5650$us = 5780$can = 3600€ (or very expensive for some between us) and high quality, is that each year, you must give your watch for control and pay a expensive control.
Do you have the same answer with your vendor in your country ?

I ask this question, because the vendor say me that I can use every day my watch for many years but when I say my work, he change the mind and say that only before and after my work I can make my watch.
It's a expensive watch if you make your watch 4-5 hours (whithout hours sleeping) each day.

Hi Birdy and welcome.
I'm guessing your words 'revision' and 'control' means 'servicing' (you could type the word servicing in the search tool at the top of this page and read up on several posts concerning this). Some knowlegeable Breitling people on here would say that servicing is only needed every four or five years, or even only when your watch starts to show unusual behaviour (bad time keeping or other issues). I have read of some people that have their Breitling serviced more often, possibly if the watch is used underwater a lot, or if the chrono functions are used a lot).
You may need to get your Breitling 'regulated' a few months after purchase, if it is not keeping good time...this is a simple adjustment to regulate how slow or fast your watch is keeping time...some Breitlings take a month or so to settle down.
Your dealers comment about 'work' could be his concern for the type of job you do ? Is your work a possible danger to the watch ?
The SA is the Breitling Super Avenger, the largest one in the Aeromarine range.

i'm a worker in a water treatment factory, i use drill, hammer, screwdriver, ladder,etc... all tools that a mechanic need and some time in the water dirty.i have a old watch for work because some time i hit the walls, claw ? scratch? the glass and other.
a watch expensive for this job is damage.(it's my opinion)but i would like a nice watch.

what is AD ?a official vendor?

at the end of each message, some people have a list of watch name.
it's a list of owner watch?

Your dealer is giving you good advice then...If I were you, I would not wear a Breitling to work :)

Yes, a dealer that is authorised and endorsed by Breitling.

My advice for you would be get whichever Breitling you like best, if a quartz....then fine, if an automatic....get a winder box too and also, with either option, get a 10 euro casio digital for work,

You will enjoy putting the breitling on after you get home and cleaned up every night!

i fall in love (if i can say that ... lol ) for a watch chronomat, but i don't know the model exactly.
i you surf on official breitling site, you can found the model.
model: windrider - chronomat and clic the version model. it's the fisrt at your left.
watch description:
Selfwinding chronograph, steel case, graphite dial, graphite subdials, pilot bracelet in steel.
n° 147 in official breitling book 2008 !

you talk of breitling watch with some name that i don't know and i don't found in my official breitling book (2008)
where you found all names of watch ?
have you some other model that me in switzerland ?

That's former Chronomat Evolution, now it's called Chronomat again.
BTW. Nice watch you have chosen. :)
There are no other models than in Switzerland, except a few for Japan market only. :D

i don't buy this watch for the moment,( i think since 4 month, LOL), because:
1)it's a expensive watch for me
2)when i write in first, 4 hours each day only on my arm.
3)afraid to take the watch in holidays out of switzerland (thief)!
(i don't say that in my country we don't have some thief, but i have some bad experience in other country)
4)afraid to break my watch, when you play with the children, when i drive my motocycle(falling) and more.
5)the servicing is expensive too

after read some text in this site, my mind change and my pretext to buy one are my next birthday

but the english is not my language and i don't know all subtlety of your language.
you write me BTW, what is ?
