Admin,

What do you know about the Ling Hercules ? I looked at the picture of it, my friend has one too. I was wondering if you knew what the additional hand on the bottom totalizer does. Also I noticed that the weight of the watch is quite heavy at 216 G. I think that maybe with a polish job this model may be close to a whole Ling .

I LOVE the hercules, acceldebt.. the second hand on the 6 oclock totalizer is for the minutes and hours.. the 9 oclock totalizer is for 24hour time... somewhat useless but I like how the chronograph is on one dial. If I can find a White hercules for a decent price I just might snag it.

On an off-topic... that Lemans Bentley is sweet.. and i want it.. but have seen it selling for usually about $8K used... I think I'll stick with the 6.75.

Just weighed the 6.75 - it's 234g (bracelet included) so the Hercules looks like a pretty hefty beast if the weight is just the watch...

Admin,

The 6:00 O clock totalizer utililzes minutes and hours HOW ? is it just like another miniature watch or something? I don't get it. It also appears that the Hercules only comes in a degraded, brushed condition but that can be easily corrected with a polish job. I like those Lemans models too but they are hard to find. Sportback is a rich guy so we should just talk him into buying a Hercules and getting it polished so he can report back to us on the general coolness of the watch. I'm surprised you want a Hercules with a white face because it has silver or white sub dials so I think they would look great with a dark face like blue or black. Or do they offer it with a white face and dark sub dials ?

The Hercules' weight is the head AND the bracelet because the watch has an integrated bracelet... same as the Navitimer Heritage.

The 6 o'clock totalizer just has the minutes and hours for the chronograph on one dial... basically like a mini watch but it is a stopwatch.

All the Hercules that i have seen have the same subdial and main dial colors... But when i tried them on i liked the white on me... so that's why I been eyeing the white!

Admin,

The picture you have on this site of the Hercules has it with a dark blue dial and silver sub dials, very nice. For my second Whole Ling I'm think I'm going to pick up a Super Avenger.

I think someone here needs to pick up a Flying B for their next Full Ling!

Admin,

If I bought a Flying B it would have to be the Flying B Chronograph and it would have to have a Steel Bracelet. I looked at the new picture of that model and they don't show it with a Steel bracelet but it's nice. I would have to try one on though as I'm not sold on that weird rectangular look yet and haven't decided if it may be a degraded Ling after all.

I thought the Flying B Chrono was smaller? Can't remember.. i can check the site I suppose. The Flying B with Jump Hour is HUGE... when I tried it on it felt like the Super Avenger.. too big. It feels bigger than the Motors/6.75

Admin,

Don't be getting side tracked on these Flying B's. It has not yet been decided by the Tribunal if the Flying B is a Whole Ling yet. Get the 6.75 out of the way first and then you can go off on these exploratory trips into Hercules and Flying B land.
