I was just thinking. Do all the breitling models have this "glare proof" crystal ? Is it expensive to put on there? If so, wouldn't it be easy to spot reps since they don't have this coating? Also how long does the coating typically last for and can you actually rub it off? If do then i have to stop wiping my face. Don't want to shorten the life.

Do you guys know any other brands that have this feature? I actually like it a lot and like the blue reflection that you see when you shine a light up to it.

Most manufacturers only put the AR on the underside.

The treatment isn't that expensive, but it's not practical to reapply so Breitling generally replace the entire crystal (which is fairly expensive - a few hundred bucks on many models).

Some of the better reps have AR so you can't use that to tell the fakes.

All current Breitlings have double AR and while it is tough it can be scratched. To remove it you need to use something - regular wiping won't do it - polywatch will do it, as will Cape Cods.
