Haven't had the Navitimer world for more than a few months and I'm already looking at pictures of the yellow dial emergency...this can't be good...

Still love my Navitimer though....

haha, soon you'll be flipping one to buy another, then changing your mind and flipping again. Then someone will post up a used watch that you really must have, then..............

Need I go on

Don't worry, just normal state of affairs for the rest of us

I, too, have my eye on getting an Emergency, but have been told by one AD that it's being discontinued as a retail model because the manufacturer of the transmitter is no longer going to be making analog ones (and digital ones are apparently too big for a case of the Emergency's size?).

At the same time, I think he said something about them still being made for the military, or that they'll continue to service them as they're used by the military, or something...

Is this true / old news / not true? I hope not as by the time I get the funds together they'll probably all be snapped up!

Again, this is just snapshots of what I remember him saying so I apologise if there's any misinformation - someone please confirm!

Ha! Only a year out of date... Was worried I might have spread a vicious rumour. Thanks, Roff

Edit: Actually only a month - not so bad!

So you think I should wait...? maybe breitling will surprise us with a new emergency model....

The only thing I wish the emergency had is the backlight for the digital displays like the aerospace...don't know why breitling left that out...

No new Emergency in the foreseeable future - the current generation transmitters are being discontinued and the more modern 406 MHz transmitters aren't small enough for use in a watch.

Lifes too short to keep waiting for something round the corner, a watch that may never exist. Perhaps you could get a good used one from a trusted source. That way it's not such a financial risk, and should you want to flip it later down the line, you'd get most of your money back.
