I've been torn up between a navitimer world with black dial, chronomat evolution polished with slate grey dial, or a blackbird polished. I've also been thinking about a rolex submariner but think that it's to small for me. My requirements are that it must be a dressier watch that i can wear to formal occasions (w/ suit) or casually with jeans and a golf shirt. Minimum diameter I think I can wear is 43mm-44mm. What are some suggestions? Doesn't have to be a Breitling either.

If it doesn't have to be mechanical, I'm really feeling the 2010 Chronospace. Way under your budget though

I would say of the 3 you listed I would pick the Navi World as long as water resistance is not a concern of yours.

Of your 3 listed...

I want to go with the Blackbird, but with 7.5 inches I think the Navi world might offer a great fit.

Between the three you really cant miss, so i would look at what you will be asking the watch to do. And what situations you would be wearing it.

navitimer world 46 mm, or montbrilliant legende 47mm, which is also from the navitimer family.

i dont think you can ever go to big man, trust me, that is where the style is going
they just keep getting bigger and bigger...
thats why i'm going for the 48.4 super avenger

Great suggestions so far guys. The chronospace is a nice watch, not really my style though. I love the blackbird as well but like my previous tag heuer grand careers 17rs @ 43.5mm it always felt a bit small. The legende is a gorgeous watch, but the thickness of the bracket near the face throws me off. I'm aiming towards a navi world as of now. The watch will be a mainly used to wear at weddings and formal occasions, or with jeans and a collared shirt on the weekend.. As for the watch features, I won't be using any other then to tell time.

Have you looked at the SOHC LE, white dial? Can be both dressy on mesh bracelet or sport casual on rubber IMO.

Otherwise, Navitmer World is good choice>
Good luck!

yeah, the lugs are a little strange looking and change the look of the watch. I dont think you will go wrong with any navi world.
they are hot, good size and everythhing.
