Post subject: | Breitling Caliber 56 or ETA 988.332 |
I know some of you have managed to find movements for your old Breitling Aerospace Caliber 56 replacements, but also that it is a difficult thing to do. Does anyone have a more definitive or useful answer to this question? I probably get an email every week or so about these. I would like to add it to the FAQ. Many people seem to not know that Breitling does not support it, and then there are some people who come asking me thinking I might have the secret code to a supply stash of these movements.. Anyone help with the right course of action to try and obtain one? It seems Breitling's response is that they will give them a voucher for 50% off a new watch when this happens. |

I don't know of any supplies of NOS movements anymore - none of the usual movement houses have any these days. As far as I know the only option is a donor movement from another watch - I'll try and find a list of the models from major manufacturers that used it. |

Fairly sure that the 988.352 will work too, I think that's an identical movement but thermocompensated. It's the one that was used in the SQ Aerospace (Breitling 75). 988.333 also works - identical movement but with a different font for the digital display. I'll add these to the list of watches as well: Tissot T691K Rado Sintra Multifunction (R133254152) Certina DS Podium |
