Just a quick thought for you enthusiasts on how and when did you get your Breitlings. Do you have a mixture of used, new, buy them at once, save up to get them, over a period of years, months etc. Whats your story? As I have one new one bought in a sale at an AD, mines not difficult!!! |

Divorce became final and decided I really needed a nice watch - just ONE nice watch. Bought a blue dial Superocean chrono as my ONE nice watch. That was last December. Really enjoyed my ONE nice watch for about 2 weeks. Then I decided I really needed just ONE MORE nice watch. Bought a white dial SOC. I really enjoyed my TWO nice watches for about 2 weeks. Then I decided I really needed ONE MORE nice watch because it was silly having TWO nice watches that were the same model. Bought a blue dial Steelfish. I really enjoyed my THREE nice watches...........(at this point it gets a little redundant). |

I bought my Breitlings new from a local AD. Breitling discounts than can be obtained here are pretty good compared to most other brands. For some other brands I have to look at used watches or overseas sellers because local street prices are too high. |

was fairly simple for me; as I researched hi quality affordable swiss timepieces, and the same few kept coming "up". I eneded up with cockpit big date non chrono;because I dont need a stopwatch function. It turned out to be a highly reliable, accurate, and robust timepiece. still love it after two years; even though I recently acquired an IWC...... |

I have bought new and used, all the new ones have come from ADs, old ones from on site auctions, stores, private purchases, eBay, etc. Mine have come gradually as I have found pieces I like. I have had some multi watch days, but don't plan it that way. |

I spent way too much time on this site and noticed someone (mfserge) was thinking of selling his Blackbird, so I asked him if he was willing to sell it to me, we worked out a deal and then it was mine. I love it, thanks Serge and Sharkman for taking care of it before me. |

I Get mine from an AD in Phoenix; Sharkman Jewelers Inc. ![]() I have bought some on here, eBay, and ADs. My first ling was two years ago, Chronomatic 49. I have since sold it and moved away from the massive dials. |

I bought my first Breitling, a gently used black dial Steelfish, exactly one year ago. Currently in the market for my second, a Headwind (white dial hopefully). I don't keep that kind of discretionary cash around (at least not where the spousal unit can see it!) and I don't buy watches on credit, so I tend to move slowly and deliberately. |

What's that? |

I save up for mine by putting whatever coins i have in my pocket at the end of the day into a jar. It gives me a long, long time to research, dream and scheme ![]() |

I buy primarily off of forums like this and ebay. You can't beat used watch pricing, and if you don't like it, you can flip it and take little or no financial hit. I only buy from ADs if the watch is less common and could take months/years to hit the used market. When buying from an AD, I only do so with at least a 30% discount and from an out-of-state dealer to avoid paying sales tax. |

first i became interested in breitling because a friend had a navitimer and i loved it but to "high" for me, got a used breitling wings with black dial and after a half year got a used superocean (three year old), after a wile i saw a really nice white steelfish from OTTO here, what a great watch, bought that one from him (tranaction went really well!!) after a couple of months i got a almost new seawolf on brown leather but found it to big! this year i bought a chrono colt black on pro 2 but i sold, i really want one of those back!!!!!! think i like superquartz better than an automatic because i dont wear them everyday en hate winding them up, i know that a watchwinder is good but superquartz suits me better i think... |

Well for start I make it my mission to never pay full price as used values are pretty crap. So I tend to go to shopping centres when sales are on specifically looking for old, discounted models. Sometimes I'm just lucky and will stumble across such a sale unexpectedly and may purchase a watch there and then ![]() ![]() The used market is great, and I've bought and sold a few pieces this way. We don't have the same choice here in the UK, but its not bad when you hunt around the forums and ebay ![]() |

Someone on watch board was selling pre-owned Colt GMT for really low price, so I snatched it. I was impressed by the quality of the watch and that started my current Breitling collection - about 10 of Bs. I bought all my Breitlings pre-owned - from watch boards or eBay. |
