New guy here with a question. I currently have a Rolex Date two-tone that I've worn for the last 8+ years as my everyday watch. I like it but it needs to be serviced and polished and I'd like to have a slightly more casual watch for daily use. I started looking at Breitlings online and reading the forum here to educate myself. I think they're a tremendous value and very affordable for their quality level. I like the Steelfish for its slightly larger size and simpler face as compared to the more expensive chronometer watches. I stopped by a new AD today and was told that Breitling takes a dim view of discounting their watches but because they were a newer dealer he could discount it 15%. After reading the forum it seems like 25% is a more appropriate discount in the USA. Can I get 25% these days? Should I make him the offer and if he refuses go find another AD? Thanks for any advice! 25% is still doable in the US even after the AD price increase. PM jnelson3097 for contact details of George at Govberg and he'll set you straight. |

Shaun LOL, the salesmen are in it for the commission, just like car dealers. Not many "honest" ones out there. Your best option is be an informed consumer. Seems you're on the right track with your web surfing. ![]() |
