Hey Guys, I was thinking about picking up a SuperOcean...many of you have commented on the SuperOcean II. I like both watches, I guess the regular SuperOcean was my first thought because it had more of a "typical Breitling look" and wasnt' quite as "sporty". Are most of you bigger fans of the SuperOcean II at this point? |

I was never a fan of the original SuperOcean and I'm still not a fan of it. Initially when the SO II came out I didn't like it as well, until i saw one at my AD and I loved it!! The rubber bezel is actually very nice and I like the idea of the different bezel rings, especially the yellow. So to answer your question, i like the new SuperOcean II much much more! The new SO II does look sporty on rubber but actually quite dressy on steel especially with the black bezel ring. Good luck with your new purchase. |

Hey. Same with me. I personally don't like the regular super ocean But LOVE the SOII with yellow or red Very nice looking watch. I like it with the rubber strap on deployment Unfortunately I find it to be too small a watch for my wrist and I think it feels smaller then it really is. Good luck! -E |

I think that the original SuperOcean suffered from being compared with the SuperOcean Steelfish which was a far more popular watch in general, and is my preference as well. The SO II is a very different look for Breitling and having seen it in the metal a few times I don't dislike it, but it seems very small - it seemed to wear smaller than its size to me. I would be interested in seeing it with a different colour dial, but I'm not convinced by the rubber bezel or the lack of a pearl. It's very different from the original SO and I'm not sure that they are readily comparable because they are so different, albeit that they carry the same family name. |

You and I think alike buddy..especially with the use of yellow in Breitlings!! SuperOcean II all the way. If it was 44mm id absolutely buy one. john123 wrote: mfserge wrote: I was never a fan of the original SuperOcean and I'm still not a fan of it. As an Arizona Cardinals ticket holder I suffer from yellow and black PTSD. Which hurts all the more since those are the colors of my college alma mater. His foot was on the line...I don't care what the replay shows....his foot was on the line! |

I am in NY and saw the Superocean II today. It is a FUN Breitling and i loved the looks, but it’s too damn small for a water watch. If it were 44-46mm minimum, I’d be all over it. Come on Breitling, get with the program! |

After seeing it in person I've decided that I really don't like it. I know that probably puts me in the minority, but I thought it was way too small and it didn't really say anything to me, if you know what I'm saying. I didn't have much of a problem with the rubber bezel though. I saw the black, silver and the yellow ones and I'd take a 42mm Omega PO over any of them. Maybe if it was 44-45mm I'd like it more. |

It seems that everybody has a problem with the size of the new superocean. I have one and it is small and feels smaller cause I used to use the skyland everyday (45.4mm). Today I bought the avenger seawolf cause I wanted a 45mm at least without the chrono complications. And I love the size, weight and the yellow with black strap combo. The pic is in my signature link, the second link. |

I have an older version of the SO, with fully lumed numbers, and it's still my favorite version. The newer version of the SO with hollow numbers didn't get my attention the same way - the hollow numbers get very difficult to read on a dark dial and it's overall less useful for reading the watch while diving than with fully lumed numbers. I have seen and tried all possible rehaut colors of the new SO II, but don't like it. I think it wears too small, I haven't got used to the font and I think there's a small color difference between the rubber bezel and the dial that disturbs me. Yep, I'm the grumpy old traditionalist. |

I'm fairly new to Breitlings and not old at all and I agree with everything you said, I am pretty grumpy though. |

I was starting to think the my SOII was kind of small too after a few weeks of having it (and I also have a Skyland that I wear regularly), but over the past month or two its really seemed to come into its own and fit very nicely. I look at it sometimes and it just looks to be a very fitting size. Maybe ill flip-flop again in the future, but right now its lookin good. |
