I don't like wearing my bling SA all the time as its polished steel and any speck of anything on it drives me nuts,i polish it constantly....clean freak....

I want a rubber strap watch for summer sweat...

Anyway,i am going to buy a Skyland on rubber... 8)

Can't decide on the black dial on black rubber,or the blue dial on blue rubber...i am leaning more towards the blue, the black looks nice as well..... :?

Gonna shoot into the AD's here in Toronto tomorrow and see what they have,i wish they had a white dial Skyland, don't know why they don't.....i thought about just grabbing a rubber strap for my SA but with the bling bezel, wouldn't look good i guess????.....dunno...

Any thoughts?....

If I had to choose I would go with the black face on rubber. Just matches better in my opinion...

I think the blue would look great as well... Although the black on black is classic, the blue on blue will pop without the bling of the SA.

Hi Davem,
I've got a Skyland Blacksteel, which has the Diver Pro rubber strap. That rubber is quite a magnet for dust etc. especially at the ends of the strap between the lugs where the strap attaches to the watch. Also, all the little grooves on the strap, especially where "Breitling" is embossed on the strap, tend to attract dust etc. I find that I give the strap a good wash every week, and it looks fine to me, but if you are real fussy about that kind of thing, it may not be the way to go for you.
Also, like the SA the Skyland stainless is really shiny as well. Why not buy a Diver Pro strap for your SA for $75.00 and try it out to see if you like it. To me the Skyland is the ultimate in a guy's watch, but unless you really want a new watch, I would try getting a strap for your's first. The SA looks great with the rubber strap as well. Hope this advice helps.
Cheers,
Carl
ps by the way, I saw a Skyland at La Swiss today with the Slate Grey dial, and that is also a great looking dial. Just a bit of a change from white/silver or black. Also, my AD has a blue dial with the blue Diver Pro which looks great as well

If you're planning on visiting Yonge & Bloor I can give you an introduction - pm me. That store is also only about 5 minutes away from the distibution centre so they can get any combination that the ditributor has for you to try.

Personally, I went with the blacksteel

Diamond and rubber would be - 'different' - not sure I'd want it, but comes down to choice.

La Swiss Yonge & Bloor quoted me $3,350 for the regular Skyland on Pro II including taxes - that would be $2,965 without taxes.

Factoring in the lower cost for the rubber over the Pro II and the fact that you are going to get dinged for import duty and handling fees - I'd go with the AD, but your choice. Of course I can't guarantee that they would quote you that price - it's cost me a lot of money to get that kind of deal :?

What a dissapointing day,i went to the AD this afternoon prepared to pick up a black dial Skyland on black rubber (they had one in stock,i called first)....and when i got there and tryed it on....even it seemed very small....

Once you get use to wearing an SA,everything else is just to small i guess.... :?

I liked the dial alot on the Skyland, the thickness seems like the SA but the overall size and feel seems much smaller,i had to pass on this idea, boy am i glad i tryed one on before buying one online like i was considering first....

Oh,well....maybe a blue dial SA on rubber it will have to be....they have a hard time getting stock on the SA apparently, she said she had 3 last week and they were gone right away....

Did get to see some nice Breits though.... 8)

The Blackbird dial is very impressive, nice looking watch, but small....

Dissapointed the Skyland didn't do it for me,but nice to see all those Breits and have everyone in the store drooling on my SA though....all the lighting they have in the AD made the diamonds and polished SS shine...... 8)

i love the way the diamond bezel on the white SA with the black rubber strap looks.

which is why i bought it lol. well actually my strap should be delivered by tomorrow and my bezel i am picking up during the week. but i did have my jeweler mix and match straps on his white dial SA with his diamond bezel so i knew what it looked like prior to the purchase.. IT LOOKED GREAT.
