I'm probably the last to discover this, but I'll pass it on anyway.

I've had a really wonderful time this afternoon, looking at the eBay UK auctions for Breitlings - it's hilarious!

How the sellers have the gall to actually try to sell these 'things' as Breitlings, I'll never know - or perhaps it's simply that there are people out there stupid enough to believe just about anything.

An example - remember this is for a Bentley!!

The seller's name is Brad... This is what he has to say about himself:

"Hi everyone my name is Brad and im a budding Ebayer. I spend alot of time on the computer at home and at work. I work in a Betting shop as manager and find coming home and chilling out on the computer with a bottle of BUD the perfect way to de-stress from the days activties. My hobbies include football, ( I support Newcastle United so have pitty ) and betting obviously as i work in a betting office! "

And in very small letters below the description he says:

"Please note; In accordance with eBay protocols: this is not a 'Breitling' watch, it is a 'Breitling Bentley Motors' watch, the two are not the same."

Post subject:  Fakes

Admin and Sportback,

There is a small restaurant that Naviman and I go to from time to time and the owner allows his son to run the place. The old man actually gave his son a FLAMING FAKE Bentley Mulliner Toubillon and the kid thinks it's real. The thing is an obvious fake and doesn't even have the 2 knobs on either side of the crown but the kid actually believes it's real. We didn't have the heart to tell him because he's so excited about his "Bentley". It's bad enough to try to pass off fakes to unsuspecting strangers but this guy has really crossed the line he's passing one off on his own son. SICK !

You're right - and what's more, I actually heard of someone the other day who bought a new Mercedes thinking it was a real car...it's sad, really very sad...
