so the other day i was sitting with my mother having lunch, when she turns to me and asks me some questions about Breitling and watches in general. She has always been a long time admirer of well made swiss watches but has never really treated herself to anything special. After some chit chat about watches she says to me "do you mind if we go to the store today and take a look"?

well how can you say no to your mom??? so we go down to the store and while we are there she must have pulled out 15 watches. after about 1.5 hours of trying on watches she finally opts to purchase a galactic 36 mother of pearl on blue lizard. she was very happy with the watch. i like it too but the bezel throws me off a little. on the way back to the house when i dropped her off. she starts asking me if she should have ordered the same watch but with the diamond markers on the dial instead of batons. It took all of about 2 hours for her to decide that she would prefer this instead. so she puts the watch back into the box and i call my AD to notify him that we want to bring it back and order the other watch she prefers.

the next day she sends the watch back to the AD, this time my father is with her and i guess he got the urge to look at watches or my mom must have planted a bug in his ear. I get a phone call from my father asking me what i think about the chrono galactic 39mm. i told him that its more of a womans watch due to the size. He likes it though. So that evening i spend the night over at their house having dinner and talking watches. Looks like my fun hobby has now started to rubb off on my parents.....lol.

More power to 'em!

Let's hope you haven't set them on their way to squandering your inheritance on watches

It's great to be able to share in a hobby with those you love. Awesome story.

The George you currently know is dying a little everyday!

Great story!

I wish my parents or brothers, or anyone in my freaking town shared the same passion for watches that I do!

That's a great story, your parents have great taste!!!

Agreed...Seinfeld is the best. The Office is pretty high up there as well.
