I have always been careful in screwing down the crown. I actually go the reverse direction lightly to feel the crown catch on the screw before I add pressure to screw the crown down. |

ok this might sound retarded but i have to ask. When you unscrew the crown on watches and your wind up the watch, is it possible to damage the threading of the crown when you push it in and screw down so the crown is locked? if for example you accidently pushed slightly diagonally while trying to screw the crown back in?? |

Certainly possible - it was a real problem for titanium watches in particular, but any watch can be susceptible to damage. |

i always try to be as careful as possible as i am sure most members on here are. its funny just seems that the crown on these b4b series seems more fragile than other ling models. |

I always thought the crown stem seemed more fragile on my 6.75 compared to my SA also. I think the stem on the 6.75 was much smaller in diameter. |

What im saying is the diameter of the crown stem. This I think is what makes them feel more fragile. |

Noel (fellow Aussie?), Nothing unusual - turn backwards until thread start and then turn clockwise to avoid stripping. The usual - works on everything else. |
