Hey guys...my first post, although i've been following this forum for a while now....

I wanted to get the emergency, i even reserved one at my AD...thought it would be nice for me as an airline pilot...but then i saw the Navi world...amazing watch...haven't tried it on yet because it's sold out right now but it looks awesome in the pictures...my question is, is the watch too heavy..? i'm gonna wear it with the leather strap...i know its heavier than the emergency, but does it feel bulky and heavy when worn...?

and do you recommend i go for the emergency or the navitimer....

Thanks!

The Navi World isn't too bulky at all. I own an Emergency Mission and just sold my Navi World. The Mission is definitely too bulky, but what I've loved about the Navi is that it plays so many roles. From aviation instrument to sporty to dressy, it fits it all.

The Emergency isn't nearly as versatile of a piece, but still great. In the end, buy what makes you happy... or buy em both!

I would take the Navi World over an E in a heartbeat, and I say that as a huge fan of quartz. The World is one of the nicest looking in the Navitimer line. I think the World is very stunning while the E is much more utilitarian looking. Like anything, it's just a matter of personal preference and how you'll be using the watch.

I used to own an E, and it is not a light watch. The E's antennae seems to be made of steel, not titanium. I also found the steel part that sticks out of the back around 2 o'clock to be somewhat uncomfortable against my prominent wrist bone. Presumably with both watches on bracelets, the Breitling website has the World's weight at 112.80 grams, and the E at 84.60 grams. Not a huge difference, and when you subtract the weight of the bracelet (steel for the World vs. titanium for the E) they should be even closer in weight since you'll be wearing it on a leather strap.

This is another example of two massively different watches.

Whetehr you find the Navi World too big or not will be dependant on your wrist size and shape. It is quite a large watch in comparison with a lot of other pieces out there, but the classic Navitimer design means that it's certainly not bulky IMO.

I own a Navi World myself and it's a great piece, but I think you should definitely hold fire buying one until you can physically try it on. The Emergency will seem very small in comparison.

Driver8 Said it!

Two totally different watches my friend. I think you need to look at your lifestyle and then decide. This is definitely black and white! Start thinkin!

Me personally.....I'm in sales and like to go out on the weekends....NAVITIMER (jmo)

I would probably get the World too. However, if water resistancy is a factor for you then the E would be the right choice.

The E's water resistance is rated at 30m if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry..thats what I get for posting at work....I was thinking the EM. The superquartz and E are both 30 m. The EM is 100m I believe.

However, the Yellow E (especially with matching UTC) is a real eye popper and extremely easy to read...
