I'm taking my B01 to my AD tomorrow to see if they will change the bezel to the brushed one that's available now. I certainly don't mind the shiny polished look, but I think a brushed one will look even better.
Hehe... after all my defence of the B01 bezel you must think I'm caving in...

I managed to find a picture of a couple with brushed bezels. It's not that good a picture, but you can just about make it out:

The image is from this url. There are a couple of good ones of the SOII as well.

I'm also going to ask for it to be calibrated a bit. It's about 2 or 3 seconds slow a day, which is perfectly acceptable, but I like my watches to err on the fast side rather than on the slow side.

I figure this might be a nice birthday present for myself (if I get it back in time)

Have any of you seen the brushed bezel in the metal?

Yes, I saw it at my AD. My major issue with the original B01 was the shiny bezel, hence the new brushed bezel caught my attention. To me it looks a lot better, I'd recommend that if you don't like polished bezels like me.

I just stopped by the AD on my way to work and they had a B01 with the brushed bezel on display. They got it out for me to inspect a bit and it looks very good. The brushed finish is only on the surrounding ring sections and not on the index tabs. It adds some contrast and makes the watch look a bit more "solid".

I'm looking forward to getting it on mine! :)
