I have a question regarding straps..I like my leather strap (because have always had metal Titanium to be exact in all previos watches) but now i am finding that I am missing my metalic look so if I was to invest in a metal strap whcih one is good for this model and how does will it cost me....?

All help/avice welcomed!!

Welcome aboard, and great watch! Plus posting pics with your first post sets a good precedent -- I'm hoping we get to see more!

The metal strap (people around here will mostly refer to them as bracelets) that Breitling puts on that model is the Pilot bracelet. It is a 5-row polished stainless steel beauty! There may be other bracelets that fit that watch, but the Pilot bracelet looks terrific. You can go the home page of this site and see what it looks like, as there is a link for bracelets/straps. As for the pricing, I have a recollection of it being somewhere between US$1100 and US$1400. The bracelet will definitely dress it up a bit. There's some pictures of that very combination in the gallery if you would like to get a better idea of what it will look like.

Good luck with your search.

Thank you for the comments. The Braclet/strap...is what I think will make it stand out even more..I was given this as a gift from my mom and wife on my 28th Birthday... am surprized as to how many people notice it... and Living in UK in summer I bet it will be noticed it lot more.

Which to me in someways is a shame, I like the idea of being understated and elegant...knowing I am fortunate enough to have something other dream off is joy itself.

I used to have a rolex submariner, and always got noticed on underground... but this I think atleast speaks.. class...realizing diamonds are not to everyone's taste.

Now my other question on Braclet...what will it cost in pounds (I live in london) and I dont mind waiting few months and getting a very snazy one!!

Please help with prices, so i dont go in thier blind...I think I saw a similar post about this but I will creat one if approved... about stories whilst wearing ling watches....I already have two...

Oh and beinga newbie...can someone please guide me in ways of looking after it?... I am not an obssessive cleaner...so just general tips and such...

Many thanks all.... and have a nice weekend or whats left of it...

M

Welcome!

That watch is really beautiful! What a great gift!

Regarding getting a pilot bracelet for it - I'd suggest you go to an AD in London and ask them what price they could give you and the delivery time. There are a very few places on the web where you can buy authentic bracelets. One is authenticwatches.com, but as you might have seen in anither thread they're expensive on bracelets. Besides, getting it from your AD will guarantee it's real and they'll also fit it for you. Your beautiful watch deserves a genuine bracelet, mounted scratch-free. (However, that brown strap is absolutely stunning together with the MOP and diamonds.)

What is it you have two of? Lings? Sorry, I didn't get that sentence...

It's fairly easy to look after the watch. Don't bang it into doorposts and try to avoid scratching it. Even if the Evo is ok for minor splashes of water (but NO diving), your brown strap won't like it very much. If you like, you can treat the strap as you would treat a pair of expensive shoes. Let the strap rest every now and then, wipe sweat out of it with a moist (water only) towel and, if really seriously, you can sometimes add a bit of leather oil (your trusted shoemaker will advice you on which). And most important of all - enjoy it on your wrist!
